Listen to me when I say AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. We spent 2 hours total at this place for 5 skewer dishes which cost $90, it was genuinely the worst experience we’ve ever had in a restaurant. They placed us in a tiny table so we asked if we could move to the bigger table which was recently vacated by another group. The table was filthy, we waited half hour for the table to be cleaned up and politely requested about 3 times. Owners have some sort of short term memory because not only did they not even end up cleaning the table for the whole 2 hrs, they didn’t get our orders right and even asked us what we ordered. Then they tried to place our food at the dirty table on the plate of the people who ate before us 🤢. We ended up taking our plates and moving ourself to the tiny table we initially were placed at. To top it off, they forgot a dish we ordered and had the nerve to argue that we already received it and tried to point out the skewer sticks THAT WERE ON THE DIRTY TABLE FROM THE PREVIOUS GROUP as if it was ours. Oh, and they just substitute dishes with a different dish without asking you when they’re out of stock, and when confronted just tell you they’re giving you a more expensive dish (didn’t ask for that?) but tiny portion of it. The food is hit or miss - driest chicken we’ve ever ate but the pork enoki was good. Definitely not even close to salvaging that...
Read moreThis BBQ restaurant near Sydney’s Central Station is a true gem for barbecue lovers. First off, their dumplings are something special. The skin is hand-rolled, giving it a distinct chewy texture that sets it apart from other places. The filling, a combination of pickled cabbage and pork, has a wonderfully bouncy and juicy texture, transporting you straight to Northeast China with every bite. We’ve even bought frozen ones to take home.
Their charcoal-grilled lamb skewers and beef tendons are also outstanding. The lamb skewers are tender and juicy, with a slightly crispy exterior and a smoky aroma that fills the air. The seasoning is spot-on, making each bite flavourful and satisfying. The beef tendons, grilled to perfection, are soft yet retain a delightful chewiness, truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. As regulars, we’ve never been disappointed.
What truly sets this place apart is the owner’s warm hospitality. He’s always happy to chat and often surprises us with complimentary dishes to try. It’s rare to find such an experience in Sydney, where you feel like a valued guest. Plus, the restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate gatherings, and there’s even a KTV setup for a fun dinner with friends—eat, drink, and sing all in one spot!
If you’re in Sydney and craving an authentic Northeastern Chinese BBQ experience, this Jinzhou BBQ is the...
Read moreA bunch of my friends visited here recently and all of us feel unhappy for this experience. The environment is not clean The service was very bad. The altitude was rude. Very long wait time for the food. The food was just edible. None of us felt excited or liked it There was no price on the menu. We were charged $85 per person, we were very disappointed. 7. The boss ignored all our complaints and refused to give any discount. The boss refused to give a receipt. This might be a coincidence, but the next day, I heard at least five of my friends felt uncomfortable in their stomach.
To owner's latest reply: Please point out if any of above is a fake accuse. We requested for an official receipt, which is a consumer's legal right. The owner just ignored and did not respond after 7 days. It seems the owner could not give any explanation to their bad services, but can only accuse our intent. We have received bad services, been treated rudely, and been over charged. We tried to communicate but the owner just ignored us. So, we do request a refund. An apology would be appreciated but we know that expectation would be too high...
