Love the food definitely and really enjoyed the food except one thing: we were told by a waitress when we arrived that we have to leave before 7.15pm as next booking will be 7.30pm and they were very very busy tonight. and when we asked for water to her, she did not give us the water, she disappeared from my sight. ( maybe she forgot but my six sense told me she didn’t forget); and I suddenly feel less happy as we spent almost $400 but have to hurry eat and as a result we did not drink any water and it turned out that there was no customer around us when we finish the meal before 7.15pm Then why hurry us for ? And when we already asked for bill to another waiter, the disappeared her appeared and come up ask us can take this plate and then later can take that plate , and more later asked us if we want any dessert. Our conversation was disrupted by her. And I felt she’s very annoying. Sorry but it did. We donnot know her name as we didn’t want to even ask her name to ruin the dinner experience but it does ruined the memory of experience in Kagoshima by her :( (she has long hair with glasses, and no waitress wearing glasses last night ) last time we have more people and although spent more but was happy . This time no~ may not come back again ~

Disappointing Service Experience Overall, I don’t think this restaurant is worth the price, as we felt we were treated differently than other customers. At over $100 per person, I expected much better service: 1. Table Issue with Flame Adjustment We were seated at a table with a faulty flame that couldn’t be adjusted, but no one informed us of this before seating. When I asked why the flame kept turning off as I tried to adjust it, the staff initially avoided addressing the issue until I specifically asked why other tables were able to control their flames. Only then did they move us to another table. I later noticed they informed other customers about this issue before seating them. 2. Inconsistent Service and Order Issues We were not given an extra bowl with our edamame, while the table next to us received one without asking. I had to specifically request it. Additionally, I had asked for no green onions or shallots with my order, but my dish was still served with them. I had to request once more. The food was average, but comparable to other $100-per-person restaurants in terms of quality. Unfortunately, the poor service and disappointing experience overshadowed our meal.

A most decent and enjoyable dinner experience is how I would start describing our recent visit to Kagoshima Master in Crows Nest. Myself any my two daughters dropped into this restaurant for dinner and were really pleased with what was on offer. The ambiance was unmistakably Japanese. We were surprised to find that they serve imported grade A5 Japanese Wagyu. Australian Wagyu was also available. The menu options were not extensive but included most dishes that one could expect to have at a Japanese restaurant. We had Yukke- Wagyu Sashimi which was exquisite, cucumber kimchi, salmon sashimi, the Kagoshima Master Mori-a selection of 4 types of Wagyu, Namuru- radish in sweet vinegar, beef tail soup and Wagyu mince rice. I enjoyed a glass of Japanese plum wine. The premises are small and I think having a booking is essential. The staff are very friendly and helpful in explaining what you chose to order. You can park in nearby woolies building which has paid public parking which is free for first 3 hours. A definite must for anyone who loves Japanese food.

I dined here on 25 July for a birthday celebration. While the food was of a reasonable quality, the manner in which my booking was treated was unacceptable and fundamentally rude.

We arrived at the restaurant at 6:25pm for a 6:30pm booking. When we entered, the waiter acknowledged my booking but noted that our table was still occupied by the previous pattons, and that a 10-15 minute wait was likely. While inconvenient, we decided to give the benefit of the doubt and wait for our table.

During our wait, the table was served another dish, suggesting a complete disregard for our time and presence. We were finally sat 6:55pm - almost a half hour into our expected booking - with no apology.

We began our dinner, and despite the poor start, we enjoyed the food that we were served.

Unexpectedly, at 7:55pm, the same waiter who managed our booking from delayed seating to now informed me that our booking was almost up and needed to be vacated by 8pm. Completely taken aback given such a short dining experience, I asked what the time limit for each booking was, to which I was told 90 minutes. I was told that since our booking was 630pm, they needed us to finish by 8pm to accommodate the next booking.

Logically, I informed the waiter that we were seated 30 minutes late into our expected booking, and that it was ridiculous to have to cut our booking short particularly when the booking before us was not ushered out in the same, unacceptably rude manner.

The waiter did not seem to register the absurdity of his request, and tried to compromise by allowing us to stay for an additional 10 minutes. I was dumbfounded by the restaurant's lack of basic customer service or fundamental respect for time.

We will not be...

I booked a table for a group of nine at Kagoshima Master North Sydney through their website on Sunday midday. However, due to time and distance constraints, we requested to change our reservation to the Ultimo store instead of canceling. Unfortunately, the Ultimo store only had a VIP room with a $1,000 minimum spend, which we could not meet.

When we decided to cancel, we were informed that there would be a $100 cancellation fee since it was a same-day booking. I confirmed this multiple times over the phone before proceeding with the cancellation, and the staff member assured me that the fee would be $100.

However, I later received an email confirming that $450 had been charged instead. This amount was also reflected in my bank transaction.

When I called today to inquire about the incorrect charge, the experience was extremely frustrating. The female staff member I spoke to claimed she was not the person I had spoken with on Sunday and said she needed time to investigate. I requested a call back, but she abruptly ended the call after my request.

I called again to express my dissatisfaction and asked for her name five times, yet she refused to provide it. Such an appalling level of customer service is unacceptable, especially from a restaurant that claims to provide a premium dining experience.

Kagoshima Master North Sydney, this is unacceptable. Not only was I misled about the cancellation fee, but I also experienced rude and unprofessional service when trying to...

We were there on 15 May for dinner and had a booking from 5 to 6.30pm. We arrived at 5.05pm and there were 2 other tables in the entire restaurant. We ordered the ultimate amusement wagyu platter, vegetables for bbq and drinks very shortly (as we already saw the menu online and knew what we wanted). Vegetables and drinks came fairly quick but it took them almost 1 hr to serve the meat! There were only 3 tables including ourselves when we ordered the food and by the time our meat arrived, the whole restaurant is full and interestingly most of the other tables already had their food served before us! At my amusement, the waiter came with the eftpos machine to the table at 6.25pm (you can probably worked out how quick we had to eat our meat!) stating the next booking is here and he doesnt want to make them angry and would like me to pay! I tried making the point that we would be well done if the food has arrived earlier but he has total disregard for that. Absolutely no acknowledgement that the food was late, service was poor (I can go into heaps of detail) though the meat was good. You expect exceptional service and unbelievable food at a Japanese restaurant and the service here has really let them down. I have been to many authentic Japanese restaurants and this is a real let down and I would recommend going there only as a last resort. I am sorry but there's a lot to do to redeem...
