The Foxtrot — Restaurant in Sydney

We had our engagement party in their upstairs function space, and it was honestly one of the BEST nights. James and his team are beyond accommodating, from allowing us to modify the canapés menu to match our preference to ensuring our guests with dietary requirements had options to allowing us to come early to set up some decor in their function space, the staff at Foxtrot went above and beyond to ensure our event went smoothly. The food was honestly the most delicious canapés I’ve ever had, our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was. And the cocktails and drinks were exceptional, after five hours of drinking I woke up without a hangover, goes to show the top quality alcohol they serve. Their service on the day was top notch, they cleared away glasses and plates quickly, and were constantly coming up to check in on us and take our drinks order. I cannot recommend Foxtrot enough if you’re looking for a space to hold your event. The space is beautiful, the service is exceptional, and the food is beyond delicious. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about what a wonderful venue it is and how much fun they had! Thank you James and his team for making our engagement party...

I've been frequenting The Foxtrot for a couple months now and to me it serves as one of the best examples in Sydney of what should go into a full-packaged drinking experience: friendly, engaging, & knowledgeable staff; wide selection of quality drinks; food that complements the alcohol really well; and a cozy atmosphere that not only makes you feel at ease but also secludes the entire venue from the outside world in a way that really draws you in and keeps you coming for more.

On a specific note, the selection of craft beers on display here (and some off-menu as well) is the best I've seen in the city BY FAR. There are items to drink that you may not even be able to find anywhere else in Sydney, and, to top it all off, the selection itself changes constantly, meaning that there will almost always be something new on offer each week.

James and his team are honestly top class for what they've been able to do with The Foxtrot regarding an experience that looks to be wholly unique to the service they provide. I am already eagerly anticipating...

I think there is a bit of an identity crisis with this place. Is it a bar ? Or is it a restaurant ? Went here for the first time and was super glad that we could bring our small dog with us to dinner.

The decor is classic warehouse style and dim lighting but the music was far too loud for an enjoyable evening with friends.

Staff are lovely but the service was very slow and it took ages to get our drinks and orders and then there was little follow up towards the end.

The crudo and carrots were my two favourites but the rest was pretty average. The charcuterie plate was nothing but a few cold cuts with some flatbread. It was a bit disappointing for what they charge for it.

The cocktails I had were ok but nothing special. The menu needs a few more bits in my opinion but overall the food was lacking imagination.
