It was the worst service I have ever experienced in SYDNEY Chinese Restaurant.
We went there for family reunion dinner and we are a group of 9 adults with 2 kids (under 5). When I called them to make a reservation, they replied me as I can’t make a booking since today is Sunday but there is definitely places and they will arrange tables for our group when we come. So I went there and this was what I experienced badly.
when we get there, they told me that they don’t have enough tables and they can’t arrange tables for us although I saw there are 7 tables left. I told them if that’s possible to merge the three tables for us and the waitress replied me that, those tables are for small group of people.
So I asked them if there is any reservations for those table and none of them have reservations. So, I don’t understand why can’t they merge 3 tables and arrange for our group? They insisted that they can’t do for us.
I felt there is racist in that restaurant since we are obviously group of more than 10 ppl and they don’t want to arrange a table for us and still insisting to wait for the uncertainty, but letting us go and without even make it easier and also giving the worst service.
Me and my family are the regular customers to that restaurant and we do our Reunion dinner quite often specifically in that shop.
I believe that the waitress (2 ladies) should learn how to serve the customers in a restaurant and to learn more on how to handle to big group of customers ( REGULAR) to give a better service. BUT for now, it is POOR with 1 star since I can’t give less than 1 star.

She didn't bring a piece of paper to write down the order but after each one she would walk halfway across the room and punch it into the till before coming back to get the next one. After 2 dishes she must have assumed I'd finished ordering and just wandered off to serve a seated customer. I eventually caught the attention of the other waitress who looked annoyed, as though I had flagged her down impatiently rather than simply wanting to continue ordering. When she realised the order had already started, there was no apology. Then came the bill - over $70 with a 1.5% surcharge if you don't pay it cash. Who here pays in cash in 2023?! This food had better be good. After a long wait it finally came. Dumplings were edible but the rest of it was just horrible. The special fried rice was dark brown like it had had half a bottle of soy sauce spilt into it. The other dishes were soggy and bland-tasting. We managed a little bit because we were very hungry, but most of it got chucked in the bin, probably $50 worth of food. I'll not only be avoiding this place in future but I'll never eat in Burwood again. It's just wall-to-wall cockroach-infested Chinese eateries that are well below par for a global city like Sydney. The restaurant has tables for dining but the waitress told us , unable to provide tabl for 10 people which is ashame for a chinerestaurant in Sydney . She said they have to keep tables for two people dining tonight , meaning awaiting for customers who are not not booked , not even sure to eat in the restaurant yet, while the usual customers arrived at restaurant for dining .
We all feel the waitress ( who can speak English) is racist and purposely made us go out of the restaurant . We plan to have a feast for family reunion for the night and Yes we very much well spent it in an another restaurant who respect customers.
