Ah, the allure of Chinese cuisine! From the delicate dance of dim sum to the fiery wok magic of stir-fries, Chinese food offers a world of culinary exploration. And nestled here in our own bustling city, a hidden gem awaits: your friendly neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Stepping through the doors, you're embraced by a warmth that transcends temperature. The air hums with the gentle clatter of chopsticks and the lively murmur of satisfied diners. The aroma? A symphony of ginger, garlic, and a thousand other tantalizing spices that instantly awakens your taste buds. The menu itself is a voyage of discovery. Each dish whispers promises of exotic flavors—words like "kung pao" and "hoisin" dance before your eyes. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a curious novice, the menu caters to every palate. And then, the food arrives. A visual feast for the eyes before it even reaches your plate. Each dish boasts vibrant colors and artful arrangements, a testament to the chef's dedication to not just taste, but presentation. The first bite? A revelation. Textures dance on your tongue, a delightful interplay of the crisp, the tender, and the perfectly cooked. Flavors explode in a joyous symphony, each one complementing the other in a harmonious, unforgettable way. Don't forget the service! The staff, friendly and attentive, are more than happy to answer questions and guide you through the menu's delectable offerings. They make you feel not just like a customer, but like a guest in their home. By the end of the meal, you leave feeling not just satiated, but transported. This little eatery isn't just about food; it's about an experience. It's about the warmth of shared laughter, the joy of discovery, and the deep satisfaction that comes from a truly delicious meal. So, the next time you find yourself yearning for an adventure for your taste buds, don't look any further. Venture into your local Chinese establishment, and prepare to be amazed. (the free drink is any $4.50 drink)

2.1 - Careful. Fake Ratings offering drinks for 5 Star Review!! Waited long time to be rudely pointed at by one waitress warning me not to move up the line to get a table until she had finished at the register with this man's order! (But others allowed to walk in!). Need training in Customer Service and Experience. Once seated, took 10 minutes to wave someone down to take an order - seat pushed around by waitstaff not aware of their surroundings and not very switched on. Food used to be average but large portions. However, portions have reduced so value much less. Won't be coming again - am sure quality of ingredients is poor too. Unfortunate as it started off well. *** Previously: Been here lots as a sole diner, with friends and relatives. In Summary: Large portions, but mediocre food. Leans on Oily/Greasy side. Avoid the duck noodle soup - they give you terrible cuts (Li's Kitchen is better for that). The Steamed Vegetable Bean Curd Wraps were okay but is now reduced to two and very salty. Congee was average, stir duck noodles were nothing like in the menu photos (oily, salty, preserved vegetables), seafood tofu soup average, but herbal jelly dessert delicious! Recently tried their lunch specials for Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - it is so small, I was disappointed and still hungry after eating it. It comes with a corn soup, which is just a tiny thickened bland bit of fluid. Singapore Noodles left a lot to be desired. 👎👎👎 Watch your change if paying in cash - often missing coins. There's much better taste elsewhere but it's convenient to drop in here.

Mama’s wok is a Chinese restaurant located on ground level within Rhodes Waterside shopping mall. The restaurant offers plenty of tables that can be configured to suit your group size. Menu - offers plenty and variety of dishes to choose from including dim sims, bbq, pork, beef, chicken, hot pot, seafood, sizzling hot plate, vegetable/ tofu, noodle soup/ laksa, Lo mein, fried rice, soup/ congee, stir fried noodles and desserts. Because the menu offers so many dishes the choice selection becomes complicated and confusing (unless you’re a regular and know what you want), I would probably go by their signature dishes that they display. The drinks menu is disappointing offering only a few drinks compared to its extensive food menu. Taste - the shredded chicken, fish fillet in vegetable hot pot and deep fried pork are great dishes. The most dis-satisfying ingredient heavily used in most of their dishes is the corn starch that thicken the sauce which is normally added towards the end to give it a nice finish. A little coating is fine but not when it’s soaked in it. Price versus portion - in my opinion it’s quite expensive and the dish size is quite small compared to other Chinese restaurants. 10% Surcharge on public holidays is another thing that will hit you hard, plus surcharge for use of credit cards. Save yourself 5% if you pay cash! Service - staff members are going left and right and sometimes it’s hard to grab their attention. The food served on our table was fast and we did not need to wait long after ordering.

Worst experience ever. Date: Sunday, 21st January 2018 Time: 6:15pm Location: Mama's Wok Rhodes What happened: We were excited to have dinner for the second time in Rhodes as our first time eating there was good (food was great, customer service is a fail). Our toddler was very hungry so we quickly ordered our meal. They gave us plastic cups and a plate for our daughter which was oily. we asked for it to be replaced only to see that it still had some oil residue. We ended up just using the standard dinner plate. We ended up waiting 27 minutes and wondered why our food has not arrived yet. we followed up and the manager dismissed it until I asked to follow up the second time. It was then discovered that our order was not placed with the kitchen. By this time, our toddler was crying heavily and screaming as she was very hungry. It was already way passed her dinner time. The manager, instead of apologising, offered a complimentary drink to which I replied: "That's not going to satisfy my daughter's hunger". The manager simply shrugged it off and said he can only offer a drink. They took our order again and we waited again whilst feeding our daughter fruits that we bought from coles. 16 minutes has passed and still no food. we again followed up, but did not get a proper response. We just walked out and quickly went to Lok Lok dimsum near the cinema. Lok Lok was VERY accommodating and catered to all of our requests, even asking for extra mushrooms with veggies which our daughter loves.

Never go to this restaurant again especially if you...
