Absolutely atrocious service I received there today I received from staff and manager "Owen Gordon"
I went there planning to use the my maccas app for the $5 August deal. The app is notorious for having issues, the Google Play store is flooded with people who have the same issue as I was having backdating 2 years.
I got to the front of the line and explained my issue with the app and asked if I could have the manager help me out, I used to be a manager for McDonald's, so I know it's possible.
I got told a blunt "delete the app and reinstall it" and I said yeah okay no worries. After a slow 76mb download due to being in a Westfield. Surprise surprise same issue. I waited in line again just to tell her it's still not working. She said let me clear the line then I'll get the manager to assist you. Which is also fine. As I said I've worked in hospitality so I completely understand what it's like being under the pump.
So this is where I got annoyed. They cleared the line even letting more people through before addressing my issue. Making awkward eye contact with me like "is this guy still here" because it was passing 20 minutes at this point. They even started refilling the napkin dispensers before getting to me. Literally everything had priority over my service.
Then "Owen" the manager decided to finally come over and he said word for word "it's not problem, you'll have to contact head office" so for making we wait so long and being ignored what did I receive?
A rude manager who refused to give me any form of compensation or even assistance for having me wait so long. So I bought the exact same thing which came to $16 instead of $5 and left.
The staff explained the issue to him when I arrived. Why couldn't he just tell the staff he can't do it instead of making me wait around for 20 minutes like an idiot, As I said Ive worked a long time in hospitality so I'm very tolerant and patient when it comes to service but this was just...

Under the Ian Garten Group. My hat goes off to the young girl that served me who was running the front by herself , when realising she needed help she then asked someone to come to the front . The person obviously didn’t want to be there , that was clearly evident from her body language. This was the manager aparently 🤔 Obviously this manager has no idea how to de escalate a situation and being rude and argumentative is not going to make any customer happy . When you made the wrong decision to pack three orders before mine and leaving my fresh hash browns that I had no problem waiting for to be cooked fresh , left sitting in the warmer for At least 3 mins after they came up. I am going to ask what is happening with my order. This situation could have easily been handled by apologising and getting on with it . Instead you chose to stand there and argue with me, which then turned into me getting a refund because you didn’t want to deal with the situation as a MANAGER!! First she said I don't know about your order then when I told her it is a chocolate frappe, she showed me that ice chocolate on the counter and rudely said " I read your number several times but nobody answered.
