We went to Mishy’s for my brother’s graduation, and the experience was overall amazing. As soon as we got to the venue our tables had already been set up and we were greeted by the amazing waitress Erin. The food was absolutely amazing, our starters were the organic sourdough, which was so delicious. The bread was so fluffy. The bread was served with heirloom tomato salad and black olive mortadella, which matched perfectly. And lastly, parmasan Zucchini flowers, it was my first time trying zucchini flowers and they were just to die for! What I loved most about mishys was the variety of cuisine. Our mains kept coming! We had the lamb cutlets, king prawns served with homemade gnocchi and lastly sirloin steak. The steak just melted in our mouths and the sauce was just divine. Lastly for our desert we had stickydate doughnuts topped with caramel sauce. Everything was just so filling and worth the money! I will definitely be coming to mishys again for an event or just a casual dinner!

PS. I’m sorry I didn’t get photos of the food my phone ran out...

My father and I were lucky enough to be brought to Mishy’s cafe as part of a food tour. Everything was fantastic! Mishy showcased her talents with a sampling of dishes, including beets with stracciatella, a fermented chickpea pancake with baba ganoush, roasted broccoli, and spring onions, a fennel-sausage roll, the fresh salad of the day, delicious Australian tea, and freshly baked jam drops and cranberry-almond biscotti. It was such an impressive combination of high-quality ingredients and inventive (but harmonious) flavor combinations.

Like the proprietress herself, the restaurant has great energy. It’s a cozy, comfortable place to enjoy terrific food and make new friends, and was absolutely a highlight of our tour. I think the best endorsement came from my dad, who declared everything he ate to be excellent despite the fact that he likely wouldn’t have chosen any of those dishes if he had been ordering off the menu for himself.

Run to Mishy’s, and don’t forget to ask about the rings hanging from...

If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, Mishy’s is a must-visit. This modern Australian gem combines impeccable cuisine with outstanding service, making it a standout in the dining scene.

The menu at Mishy’s is a celebration of contemporary Australian flavors, crafted with both creativity and precision. Each dish is a testament to the chef’s skill, offering a delightful blend of fresh ingredients, locally sourced.

What truly elevates Mishy’s is the personal touch brought by the owner, Mishy, who is often found engaging with guests and ensuring every detail of their experience is perfect. Her genuine warmth and attentiveness transform a meal into a memorable occasion.

The decor, while basic, provides a comfortable and inviting backdrop that allows the food and service to shine. At Mishy’s, it’s not just about dining—it’s about being made to feel special. For a dining experience that seamlessly blends exceptional food with outstanding hospitality, Mishy’s is an...

A passionate powerhouse of a chef! Great 'lil cafe/take away home made wholefoods gem. STAFF: Warmly greeted by Mishy upon entering. They took the time to take me through the varied menu and take away food offerings. Advising that I'm gf they instantly had a selection of alternate options. Their passion for all things home made, minimally processed and sustainably produced is inspiring. FOOD: From freshly made salads to tarts to soups to pastas, cookies, sweet slices, pastries...they have meat eaters, vegetarian and gluten free file folk covered! In addition to a fresh in-season daily menu, Mishys also provides home made take aways: brisket, soups, salads, pastries, pastas... LOCATION: In the back streets of Surry Hills with some street parking and 5 or so minutes walk up from Central station. OVERALL: Highly recommend. I went in for a browse and walked out with some to-die-for gluten free delights and a really well balanced savoury green veggie and egg slice. Will be back!
