We had lunch at this popular new place in Burwood on recent weekend and shared their famous biang biang noodle and two side dishes (fried pork and cumin lamb). The menu has extensive options so we will come back to try other stuff. The noodle was the hero of the day since it was really good as hand-made noodle with chewy and nice texture. The side dishes were also good, but nothing special. The most interesting thing is that the menu shows variety of Chinese noodle dishes from different provinces / areas in China so like you visit different Chinese noodle restaurants in one place.
The place's ambience is quite good since it has ample space and bright minimalist decoration. The customer services from staff members are top notch 👍, which is rare to find in Chinese establishment. You can pay with all credit cards with reasonable rate of surcharge (1.5 - 2%), but you'll get 5% bill discount if paying by cash. The staff members speak English well and they will explain to you if you have questions about the menu's dishes. You also get free side dish (only 1 type like Korean ban chan), free soy milk drink and free extra noodle if you want (like kaedama option in Japanese ramen joint). We did not get the offered free noodle since the original portion was already generous for two people to share with additional two meaty side dishes. By the way, you don't have to use the QR code order system. We prefer to order food the traditional way when you can talk and ask questions to...

A truly pleasant surprise. Stumbled across it whilst browsing Burwood and noted how good the reviews were as well as the line. You can definitely expect a 15-30min wait during peak hours and they do not take bookings as far as I'm aware nor is there a 'ticket' system so u have to line up.
Service is actually exemplary for Burwood and Chinese restaurant standards. The wait staff were quite efficient and attentative but also came to give us a cup of hot soy milk (which is free and unlimited!) whilst we waited. Best part is the noodles have free unlimited refills!
Bonus 5% off for cash is also great.

Read moreWe waited approximately 20 minutes for a Saturday lunchtime table at this popular noodle restaurant in Burwood, and it was clear why it’s always in demand. While we waited, a waitress came out to serve refreshing plum juice—a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that set the tone for the restaurant’s warm hospitality.
We ordered their signature biang biang noodles and the cubic pork and vegetable dry noodles. The portions were incredibly generous, and even better, they offered unlimited noodle refills, making it a true feast.
Unlike many dishes where the toppings take center stage, here the noodles were the real star—with the meat, sauces, and condiments acting as perfect supporting cast. The noodles had an amazing texture—chewy, silky, and perfect for slurping. The sauce was a beautifully balanced mix of salty, sweet, spicy, and fragrant flavors, coating the noodles perfectly. They also offered a free side dish, which was a delicious and welcome bonus.
Chinese cuisine isn’t typically known for standout service, but this restaurant truly exceeded expectations. Their generous hospitality and genuine passion for sharing their food made the experience even more memorable.
It’s no surprise there’s always a line—I wouldn’t mind waiting again for both the amazing food and equally...
