I would give 0 stars if possible, but this is the best I can do. Went for lunch, the food was average, 2.5-3/5. The service was horrendous. We ordered cold noodles, bibimbap and a tofu stew. The cold noodles and bibimbap came out first and we had finished the two already so I told the waiter that we would like to cancel the tofu stew as we were finished eating. Bhim says alright and goes to the kitchen, a minute or so later he comes back to our table with the stew and says here you go. I told him that I already said I wanted to cancel as two people had already finished eating and he goes on about how the stew takes a long time to prepare while the noodle and bibimbap only takes 1-2 minutes. I told him I understand but we had already finished eating so we had waited long enough for our food. Bhim continues to say that it's not like we waited more than 30 minutes and asks what's the problem. Bhim's attitude and service was horrible and this experience was only saved by another waiter's interference. He told Bhim to go away and apologised in his behalf. He also said our two meals were on the house. In the end we did not receive an apology from Bhim and he made our experience a horrible one. Will never be going back, and will be telling everyone I...

We dined here on a Sunday not knowing they charge 10% surcharge on Sunday's. A star has been taken away due to the establishments sneaky ways of operation. There is no clear sign displaying a 10% surcharge on Sunday's at the entry doorway, you only find out at the end of your meal when you go to pay at the register. The display menu at the front also doesn't tell you how much the food items are, you'll have to go inside, sit down and scan the QR code to know the price, by that time it's too late or embarrassing if you want to leave. The korean side dishes were also very underwhelming, and limited. We ordered the $269 set menu which came with everything you see in the photos to share between 4 people. They gave two dipping sauces to share between the 4 people, which I found quite stingy. The meat is high quality, but you are paying for it. The pancake was really crispy and delicious, other than that it was everything you would expect at a Korean restaurant. The customer service was average and not attentive. Overall our bill totalled $300 inclusive of 10% surcharge and take...

The menu is a testament to authentic Korean flavors, featuring a variety of BBQ combos with premium cuts like marinated short ribs and pork belly. Complementary banchan, including kimchi and pickled radish, accompany meals, enhancing the dining experience. Signature dishes such as the seafood pancake and spicy tofu stew are frequently praised by patrons .

Service at Myung Jang is consistently highlighted for its friendliness and attentiveness. Staff are knowledgeable and eager to assist, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests . The restaurant's location within Chatswood Interchange offers convenience, and its spacious, well-lit interior with individual grills at each table provides an inviting setting for both casual and special occasions.

For those seeking an authentic and satisfying Korean BBQ experience, Myung Jang Chatswood delivers on all fronts, combining quality cuisine with outstanding service in a comfortable...

Good place for Korean bbq. We got the marinated set which came with a variety of different cuts of beef and pork. All meats were of good quality and had a good fat concentration to it. This made the meat tender and tasty. The meat did not have a smoky flavour as the grill was gas. The garlic soy chicken was very good. It was extremely juicy and tender and covered with the delicious sweet, garlicky and sticky sauce. The sides for the barbecue were acceptable with the salad and salmon being light and nice dishes. There were also chicken wings which were tender and tasty. The banchan, I thought, was lacking. They were good but there could have been more variety. The lettuce plate was large and was fresh, but this is an additional purchase which shouldn’t be the case for Korean barbecue. The price is typical for most Korean joints being around $40 per person. Overall a good meal.
