Nem Kitchen — Restaurant in Sydney

My first review ever, but i feel i need to provide this service for others. Horrendous and rude attitude when their mistake was pointed out to them. We've ordered takeaway/delivery from them 3 times, and every time, something has been omitted from the order. The first time takeaway, the veg/herb bag was missing from the pho portion. We realised when we got home, but didn't call back to say anything. The second time was an Uber Eats order, and the noodles were omitted from the grilled pork and steamed vermicelli sheets (so we pretty much only got half of what the dish was!) We called back on this occasion and they pretty much said tough luck, and that the only thing we could do was come pick it up if we wanted to. We ordered delivery for a reason!!! Then today, we specifically ordered takeaway, and on pick up, made a point to check the order thoroughly before paying. When they questioned us tersely about why, so we mentioned the previous 2 occasions, and they laughed rudely and scoffed "all the time?" I kid you not, this time 2 portions of veg/herbs were missing for 2 portions of Bun Bo Hue!!! No apology, the boss lady just scoffed again, turned around and walked off!!! Unbelievable! Anyway, we paid for the order after the veg/herbs were added, but we will never order from them again, nor will we eat there after lockdown lifts. We have frequented them often in the past, and our family and friends do too. We will certainly make sure our family and friends don't ever go there or order...

Good location! U can easily find a place to park your car on street. The restaurant looks nice with unique decorations and fresh air. The staff is helpfully and friendly. But the most important thing of this restaurant is critically become a black hole of it. The food! As a Vietnamese, i can't say what i ate today is vietnames food. The most unique traditional food of Vietnam is Pho, and it fail me in the first spoon. The broth is blanded like the beef stock u can buy in cole or woolly, noodle is hard and cold. I give this place another try with broken rice pork chop (cơm tấm) and streamed rice platter (bánh ướt) and it take me down me again. The soul of those cuisines is the sauce and they cant make it right. It's bland like water. I cant feel anything. The hot, the sweet and sour, the galic and the smell of fish sauce are all missing. It taste like u mix salt water with vinegar and sugar. Same with the meat, no marinated, bland and bored. I am a food lover and Vietnamese cuisine is in my blood. Having such dishes called themselves vietnamese but live with no soul really hurt my feeling In conclusion, this is a good place in vision but please consider if u want an authentic vietnamese food. They have no soul. They looks good in the plate but fail me badly...

I used to really like this place, but its clearly catering for uber/deliveroo rather than dine in. There’s a lovely balcony we like to sit on and eat but they closed it for ‘cleaning’ well over an hour before closing, so everyone wanting to dine in was cramped inside under stark lights with music blaring, and we watched numerous customers come in wanting to sit on the balcony only to be refused…except they were ultimately far too understaffed to get around to actually cleaning the balcony. My drink came with a paper straw but in a disposable plastic cup with a bubble tea style plastic lid, which kinda defeated any environmental gains from the straw - which got a hole in it immediately and was effectively useless. It was also almost $8 for mostly ice.

It’s also unclear whether we were expected to order at the counter or whether they’d take our order. I gave up after quite a while and ordered at the counter. All of this was fine I guess, but the rare beef pho wasn’t rare at all. The spring rolls continue to be...
