Compared to Oporto Parramatta, it was quite an underwhelming experience. I ordered the same thing as I did at Parra Oporto, a Bondi Burger Box, which for starters was not even in a box. Pros: Service was good, polite staff and an order confirmation once everything was said. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes. For $16.95 it was a good value meal, and it filled me up. The Burger was stacked well, layers clearly visible, and it held its shape well during consumption. The potato chips were well seasoned, having covered all the chips evenly. Cons: The presentation was not very good, the burger was wrapped, but the chips and chicken pieces were in a small chips cup, and it was all served in a bag. The food was extremely hot, and I had to wait a while before I could put it in my mouth. The burger and chicken pieces were very dry, and lacking in favour, to the point where I'm unsure I would want this to represent good Portuguese food. Overall I'm going to have to rate this experience at Oporto castle hill 3/5 stars, and I wouldn't likely take a loved one along if I was...
Read moreThe lady who served us (I think she was the manager) made a weird remark and publicly humiliated my friend. On top of that she was super rude and showed no compassion. Absolutely ridiculous. Genuinely the worst manager ever. She thinks that just because she is dealing with high school kids she can talk to us however we want. Me and my friend were ordering and taking glances at the menu and all of a sudden the manager says "why don't you stop looking at the girls and look at me". Unbelievable from the manager and I would give it zero stars if I could. My friend was so humiliated he woudn't even speak because of the public embarrasment. Mind you he was looking at how the food was being prepared in the kitchen. Now I know the 'manager' is going to ignore my comment but what happened is ridiculous and If I were in the top position in this restaurant I would fire this female manager due to the way she treats not only me and my friend but so many...
Read moreI recently had an unpleasant experience at Oporto. I ordered fries with cheese sauce, and what I received was absolutely disgusting. The cheese sauce had an overwhelming smell that resembled rotten food or even vomit. As someone who appreciates good food, particularly cheese, I can confidently say that no fresh cheese should ever smell this way. It was clear to me that the food was stale.
When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they dismissed my concerns, insisting that it was just the natural smell of the cheese. I found this response unacceptable and uninformed. Any cheese connoisseur would recognize that something was seriously wrong with that sauce.
To make matters worse, they didn’t even offer to refund my money. This is not only poor customer service but also a disregard for basic food safety. I would strongly advise others to think twice before...
