So I ordered my food around 700pm and the app said 30min I didn't notice the time and I get a message from uber saying order was cancelled and not charged and I was like wait up it's 800pm why did it take over an hour todo contact me. But then I seen they had still been making my order and the rider was away somewhere. I called the location and asked what was going on and they said that two delivery riders had stolen the food from them and this is why it's late. Yet it's taken an hour now and there was only one rider. When I was speaking to the lady at the restaurant she interrupted and talked over me as I was trying to obtain information about the food order. Why has it not been re-ordered,where is the delivery driver, why has it not been cancelled or uber been contacted.. She was hard to understand and very abrasive and I was left frustrated and still no answer other than give it 15min and see if your order arrives and if nothing call back and "maybe" we can make it again. I ended up getting my food over 2hours later after calling again asking her to cancel on her end and she interrupted me yet again and said we will remake and have someone get it.
This hasn't been the first problem I ordered back on the 18jan and the order was late again and the food has been terrible the dumping had been dry and the chicken strips had been made different or something as the tast and texture had been completely different . I tried again as I gave them the benefit of Doubt as I have ordered 5 times befor the 18jan and not a problem food was amazing and food time was within 15-20. Don't and will not recommend this...
ย ย ย Read moreCame here for a dinner with 2 others. We ordered the Signature Lanzhou Ramen Soup, Yangzhou Fried Rice, Panda Fried Chicken (half) and Pork Chive Dumplings (pan fried).
The Signature Lanzhou Ramen Soup was probably our favourite; tasty broth and noodles had a great texture. The Yangzhou Fried Rice had a nice mix of vegetables and proteins and flavoured well. The Panda Fried Chicken was nice, but some of the bigger chicken pieces were a little bland on the inside. The Pork Chive Dumplings had a tasty centre, but there was no soup inside the dumpling. Additionally, the skin was a little burnt and overcooked - perhaps the reason why there was no soup inside. Despite the low prices, serving sizes are still quite small.
The service was relatively quick, except for the Pork Chive Dumplings, which took a while to come out.
Overall, this restaurant has authentic Chinese food, at cheap prices, but small serving sizes. I definitely recommend the Signature...
ย ย ย Read moreMy third visit. Near the food court. A sit down stand alone restaurant. The Braised Beef Noodle soup is superb, authentic with a rich broth. The dumplings are amongst the best in Sydney. If you know dumplings then you know New Shanghai in Ashfield is Sydney's benchmark. This is a close second. I've been to many across Sydney so am confident in saying this. The Xiao Long Bao is excellent. The wrapping is soft and not too thick, so it has a good mouthfeel. Of course it has hot soup inside so be careful. Service is prompt and efficient. I wouldn't order the Shumai, that's a Cantonese dish and it's lame, remember this is Northern Chinese. It's a little Oasis in a busy mall. Open when the mall is closed and not busy. We're here at 6.30pm Friday evening and...
