Paris Seafood Cafe Cronulla — Restaurant in Sydney

Looking for a quick meal after swimming at Cronulla. Went into Paris Seafood without much of an expectation (well, fish and chips, can’t go wrong, nor can be too great?). Definitely exceeded expectation by far.

Very friendly and polite staff. We have ordered the whiting fillet with chips per the special of the day menu, together with a few other items. Kids approved; they have eaten more fish than chips. Oh... that batter... so light, fluffy and crispy, and fish cooked just right. Don't think anyone would question the quality even if it's platted up at an up-market restaurant. Definitely one of the best in Sydney. Other items were spot on. Generous cut of tender calamari rings. The locals surely kept this place as a secret.

This is now our favourite when visiting Cronulla.

An amazing fast food joint with a basic looking design to distract you from the fact that this may be the greatest takeaway shop me and some associates of mine have eaten in to date. This establishment is found in an already vibrant and lively shopping strip. And for a place that appears so basic, you get some of the most mouthwatering and appetising takeaway foods you can possibly afford. It honestly feels like the ingredients are just fresh and right. Most likely stored and cooked well. The portions are truly filling and the prices are nothing close to dismal. They're fair indeed. The staff are truly polite and attentive listeners who managed to get our orders right despite the quantity of food we had ordered. The biggest problem, in which is still minor is the waiting times, but given that we ordered so much and received truly indulgent foods to savour, it might be explanatory of why it took...

I’m REALLY fussy about potato scallops, and didn’t think anyone would ever come close to the ones from the original Bawley Point Takeaway - I was wrong, the potato scallops here are at least their equal - light crispy batter, perfect thickness, and beautifully crispy.

I’d come here every time just for those potato scallops alone, but the fish was also superb, and the chips were totally awesome, with a great balance of the crispy ones (my favourites) that are completely crispy throughout, alongside the ones that still have the light fluffy potato inside a crispy shell.

Oh, and how could I forget to mention the prawn cutlets? They were just as delicious!!

Bring a good appetite because the servings are generous - last time we had a serve each, this time my wife and I shared a serve and it was still plenty.
