Piccolo Me Parramatta Square — Restaurant in Sydney

I usually come here and have good experiences, but today was disappointing. I ordered an almond hot chocolate, but because the system was slow and the machine wasn’t working properly, the staff member (with a moustache) seemed frustrated and asked me to repeat my order. I clearly said “almond hot chocolate,” yet I was served an almond mocha instead.

When I asked about it, he insisted I had ordered a mocha, which wasn’t the case. I wasn’t rude at all and even told him again that I had ordered hot chocolate. He didn’t respond to me, but instead started talking with the barista at the back, saying things like “why do people even order things they don’t want.” Later, they did make me the hot chocolate, but another staff member had to hand it to me while he continued discussing the situation at the back.

This was such a simple mistake to correct, yet he made a big issue out of it. I understand technical issues can be stressful, but as a customer the experience felt unprofessional. A place may be popular, but what truly matters is how situations like these are handled. If I hadn’t been in a rush, I would have spoken up more...

This is very small shop with some seats outside the shop. The music in the shop is way too loud. I ordered a wrap and a regular size coffee. Both the wrap and flat white were average, nothing very special. Even the wrap was heated but still in the middle may be cool. The coffee was served in a relatively large mug for regular size. But I noticed that other food options in the cafe are not very expensive so is quite affordable.

Can’t tolerate the music inside the shop so I sat outside. It was a narrow passageway between tall buildings where there were some tables and seats so not a lot of sunlight and view. However the shop can be convenient for a lot of office workers and the uni student as it is right under the uni building. I was too hungry so didn’t take photos of my food, not very special… ~$15-16 for a wrap...

Ordering my food try to pay in cash and rudely advised they have no change, then the person behind the counter fools around with my name when supplied for the order and then my order is wrong at the end of it, could not have gotten worse service - not going back to this one!

Lady who served me is also in the photo on the photos when looking to review. Definitely told no change to 50$ on a circa 10$ order, name was fooled with and order wrong, shall leave it with you and provide feedback to the lady in question as you responded quickly, it happened today,...
