RAMBLIN RASCAL — Restaurant in Sydney

A small bar downstairs. It's a nice enough venue and while there isn't a large amount of seating they have certainly tried to fit as much in as they can. There's a well stocked bar with reasonable prices. We weren't after anything fancy but the beers were good and they had a few interesting looking cocktails. Food is provided by Mary's burgers and as of 31 Jan 2019 they started at $13 a burger with extra for chips and others extras, and there were of course more extravagant options. Props for banging a cowbell for when your food is ready. The real thing about the RRT is the live music, which somehow gets crammed in on most nights. They want to you leave the bar happier than you came in. One on the few places in Sydeny where they know what they are doing and aren’t tools about it. The owner operators cut their teeth under solid head bartenders with common sense opinions about everything. They are classically trained and offer modern tweaks and twists. Used to be a comedy venue so the booths are large and comfy. I like sitting at the bar as it does feel like a west coast dive bar. Now that's an entry.... You would probably walk up and down the street a couple times especially if you already been on the bender.. And then realise there's something wrong and start questioning life's choices coz you can't even get to a bar.. Maybe it's a sign... Only a while later do you realise when you run into someone who has the same issue trying to look for the bar.. You think it's not just you.... But it's mostly you... About the bar.
