I got the Mixed Berry Frappe and the Avocado Eggs. They were so delicious. The Frappe was so fresh it is definately one of my favourite frappe's ever. The avo eggs dish was a scrambled eggs with neatly cut avocado, a handful of greens, a half cut tomato, 4 square cheese and 4 pieces of bread. I loved placing some avocado on the bread with scrambled eggs. The dish was quite filling though. I wouldn't reccomend getting the avocado and eggs unless you can eat a lot or you are really hungry. We also got a granoli cookie to take home and it was so good. The raisins made it perfect. It is usually very busy on the weekend because of tourists so I wouldn't reccomend going then. But during the week it isn't as busy. The restestraunt is sat on the corner of a not very busy street so during the week apart from a little bit of other customers talking it is quite quiet. The Ratatouille was very good. There was 2 Sourdough bread slices and nicely cut avocado as well as the delicious eggs mixed in the rich tomato sauce. The options of drinks and food I liked was unlimited, it was really hard to decide. Next time I'm going to try the Mango Frappe and the Nuttela Toast.

Located in the neighbourhood area, this historic building (built in 1893) looks just like an ordinary house from the outside. I love how they keep the rustic look and highlight the wood-based decor throughout. It gives a homey and comfy feeling. Some of the furnitures are antique and they serve some of the food and drinks on vintage plates and Victorian style tea cups! I started with the coffee and it was great (from Morgans Coffee). As for the dishes, I tried their Nutella French Toast, Buttered Arabian Eggs and Soft Taco. Portions of all dishes were generous and they looked mouth-watering. Nutella French Toast: what an indulgent dish. Everything was spot on and I really loved the espresso mascarpone. Buttered Arabian Eggs: absolutely delicious. The flavours were complex and unlike anything I’ve tasted before. Impressive. A must try dish! Last but not least was the Mango Smoothie. Oh wow! Thick and indulgent with perfect sweetnes and mango flavours! Make sure to check the awesome street mural by Mexican artist when you’re there!

Disappointing long awaited post lockdown brunch. We went to Revolver on a Sunday afternoon. They were relatively busy but we got seated rightaway. Service and coffee were fine. The issue was with the food/kitchen staffs. Not sure if we just caught them at a bad time, but we had to wait for almost an hour for our food. Overheard quite few customers asking for their food too. My companions ordered their special ‘Southern Fried Chicken Burger’ which turned out to be an especially mediocre burger that felt like some microwaved frozen chicken fingers drenched in creamy sauce and lacklustre slaw on a basic bun.The 'roasted chat potatoes' that came with it were barely roasted / not roasted at all. I ordered their salad, which turned out to be some haphazardly assembled spinach and tumeric cauliflower. Don’t really understand how the cafe survives with this kind of quality. Shame as the cafe itself is cute. Hopefully it was just a fluke and they’ll improve over time. Not running back anytime soon though.

When you find a joint that has not been ‘over-polluted’ w heaps of PR work, good to eat pics n motivated accolades, you really wanna love it. What with 4.5, 4.6 scores on zom n google to tempt you as well. Perhaps it is the location or something intangible. In any case, we ordered: Vege big brekky 3/5, free-range eggs, smoky eggplant, roast tomato, and roast field mushrooms baked in beans topped with avocado, beetroot puree n danish feta n sourdough. Chook taco 3/5, Corn-fried chicken, shaved cabbage, pineapple. 1 of the better dish we had. Huevos rancheros 2/5, eggs simmered in tomato sauce chorizo cheddar corn avo salsa tortilla. Burnt bottom. Overcooked eggs. Brioche french toast w banana caramel melted ricotta 2/5. Nuthin but sweetness. Service was laid back w the bossman present. Still scratching my head over the 4.5, 4.6 score.

What a delightful find this eclectic café turned out to be. Set in a very quiet part of Annandale in an old corner shop, there is ample street parking which is the first big tick. The service was very friendly and down to earth, and the staff definitely made us feel comfortable and welcome. The wait for the food was a little longer than I normally find acceptable, but the great coffee made up for that. I really enjoyed my dish of eggs benedict with ham on a fritter base (great idea), my only criticism is the poached eggs were sadly overcooked (one star deducted). My partner loved his Buttered Arabian Eggs with a generous serve of pomegranate. This is a place we would definitely come back to.

Cute brunch place in a quiet, slightly elevated location where outdoor seating in the warm sun can be quite lovely. Their menu offers both hearty and light dishes - and often presented in an ensemble of colour - their instagram page surely demonstrates this. Do look out for their specials updated regularly. Their floral plates are also a cute touch. The food was flavourful and very filling thanks to the array of ingredients used to compose them. However, we did wait for longer than we expected during our lunch break so this cafe would've been better enjoyed if food prep could be a little speedier. Otherwise, worth a visit if you haven't already. 🍳
