Roll'd Chatswood — Restaurant in Sydney

rolld is usually my go-to place for lunch when i’m at work and i usually get a decent service. however, last sunday i was served by a guy and i asked for two bbq chicken rice paper rolls but after i had a bite i found out it wasn’t what i ordered. i don’t eat beef or pork so i was worried that it may have been either one of those. during my break i went back and explained to another lady and as i was explaining she snatched the box out of my hand and said it was duck. she grabbed a new box and was about to fill in with new rolls but i asked for a refund. as i was speaking, she started mumbling to her co-worker, unsure if it was normal conversation or if it was about me. she told me since it was paid with card i couldn’t get a refund back on my card so i asked if she can refund with cash instead and she aggressively handed my the money. i’m so disappointed with the service, definitely won’t be...

1st time here, didn’t even know about it until today, ordered rare beef pho, spicy, to go. Noodles, meat & goodies came on the side so I got to warm up the broth & add noodles as home, threw in the meat & goodies after it was all warmed up and oh my is it GOOD! Lemongrass, sprouts, basil, cilantro, scallions, jalapeños, tender beef, flavorful broth which was NOT oily as some others seem to have had, lemon wedges and spicy tamarind. Sorry I didn’t take a pic before digging in! The proprietor woman was supremely kind and let me try the mango boba. Her children are ADORABLE and kept me entertained while I waited for my order. What can I say? Food was fresh and the rice paper rolls were well made. Unlike other roll’d locations that I have frequented, there were no broken rolls at all. To anyone that likes Vietnamese food, this is a very poor imitation of “real” Vietnamese food. No vegetables and minimal herbs to give them the authentic flavor. Kinda of like Disney’s’ rendition of “The Little Mermaid”… similar, but worlds apart from the real thing.
