I have been to this restaurant few times and everytime I just specially went there to eat from redfern in train
Overall experience with regards to food is Excellent but the customer service is very weird. They are nice to few people and don't care about some at all. Although i do understand the regular customer get special attention but basics for evryone don't change yeah?
So before leaving Sydney I went to this place and their was a girl sitting down so I smiled and was about to order but in a little bit of a rude tone she said not now come after 10 min but that's fineso I waited 10 min. I ordered the food I wanted after few confusions on their end and then this guy in the photo came out.
Now if you want to interact with customers in professional language keep it to English with all if you can't hold your biase. He started a sentence in Punjabi, so I replied back in same and then we had this weird conversation where he spoke all sentences in Hindi and I was replying in Punjabi. I have no issues at all in speaking any of the languages, I am fluent in all three. However, this guy and one of the other older gentleman who also serves on counter try to make a point by doing so.
Guys grow up and stop behaving like we are sitting in some rural village. You guys have the best food why you want to repel customers by such unprofessional Behaviour.
By the way: Alloo...
Read moreVery unhygienic! There was no where to sit because it was so dirty. All the tables, although vacant had food all over them. Even the chairs had food and beverages spilt on them. The toilet smelt so bad. The hand basin was clogged and had food all over it. And this was the location they send u across the road after u order ur food. So how it works is u order and pay then they send u across the road with a posted note to give to the people there. We ordered bread pakora, tea and paratha. The bread pakora wasn't fresh. The paratha had lemon seeds inside, which was probably not meant to be there. They told us the tea, which was pre-made and put in a Thermos, was self service. We only received a quarter cup coz they ran out. So paid full price for tea we only received a quarter cup of. The spoons were used and were not replaced with fresh ones. The place smelt bad. No one cleaned after a customer left. The service was bad. We had to wipe the table and chairs ourselves with the Antibacterial wipes we had so that we could sit down and eat. And what made it worse was we got diarrhoea from the food. Won't be recommending it. We remember the food being so much better a year ago. Definitely will not be going...
Read moreWorst experience. I visited the restaurant on 27 Nov 2019 with my wife and here is my review:
Cleanliness - Staff is not even bothered about cleaning the tables. There were no tissue or napkins on the table.
The entire staff focus was to take orders for "delivery". They were not bothered on people who were dining in. Some tables had half empty water bottles with no glasses or spoons to serve.
We ordered Punjabi Kulcha and found out there wasn't any salt. My wife approached the reception informing them the situation... They listened to the problem, and even taste the Kulcha to confirm that there wasn't any salt and that they forgot it during the cooking, However, most ridiculously they didn't even bother to take back our order to make a fresh order for us, instead, they just handed over extra salt in the plate to sprinkle over the kulcha. I mean that was the crazy part. Extremely poor customer service. Whoever's running the place should have basic 101 training on how to run a restaurant.
I am never coming back...
