I felt helpless about the service of this Starbucks. After the incident, I read the Google reviews of this Starbucks and found that the person who tried to hit me that day was actually the person with poor service attitude mentioned by many people on Google reviews. He was David, the branch manager of this store.
This is what happened: At 9:54 pm on June 9, I entered the store and ordered a venti mocha frappuccino. When I got the coffee and was about to leave the store, I found that the taste was different and mixed with other flavors. So I asked for a different cup. I was standing near the cashier counter, and suddenly a Starbucks employee came out of the lounge and stared at me with unfriendly eyes. He asked me what I was doing? I told him I was waiting for my coffee. So he stared at me as if he was going to fight. I took a picture with my mobile phone and said that your service attitude is very bad. He got angry and tried to snatch my mobile phone, walked out of the cashier counter, walked to me and whispered dirty words, trying to hit me. He also untied his apron. So I warned him that if he dared to touch me, I would call the police and you would be in trouble. Then I had to call the police and wait for the police to come. After communicating with the police, the police asked me to leave and said that they would inform me of the progress of the investigation after watching the surveillance video. When I notified my lawyer on June 13 to contact the female police officer on that day, the reply I got was that the surveillance video of Starbucks had not been operated three days ago. It is conceivable that the person who tried to hit me was the store manager (David) of Starbucks, who should have the authority to control the surveillance.
Why did Starbucks headquarters turn a blind eye to so many comments on Google about the store manager Davidâs bad attitude and bad behavior, and let this David be the...
Read moreStarbucks on George Street(next to Event cinema) I visited the store more than 10years, all staff and manager are very polite, keep good service standards of Starbucks. Until about 3-4months ago, this branch become the worst Starbucks Iâve seen. Because of a Korean man, is he a manager or owner(act like an owner)? Heâs very rude person, facial expression, bad attitude, poor service, and always threw drink and food on the table so bad manner. Iâm so shocked to have this employee at Starbucks. I went to the store on 14Dec23 at 9.30am. this was the worst experience Iâve had at Starbucks. I ordered 2drinks and extra whipping cream on the side in a small cup when I got the drink that guy yelled at me ânext time you have to pay for thatâ What!! I didnât know you not charged me. Why you not teach your staff why complaint to customer? I order extra item I know I have to pay for that, usually never check the screen how much is it, check only collect the drink that I order. Why you not give the receipt? Because I trust you, isnât it? I always order extra whipping cream on the top or sometimes on the side, and the staff will charged me $0.50, I know that, not the problem. One day with my order, a lady manager told the staff if customer order like this you have to charge for thatâŚand staff said yes I did it. This is the way that he should learn. First time with him, I got venti frappuccino only 3/4cup not full glass, and the taste so terrible. Itâs not Starbucks standard. He act like a professional but not, sir Is this new era of Starbucks to train your staffs? This branch very busy store if he canât control himself, he should move to another branch or not Starbucks store. Anyway, the staff that took my order she apologised to me for that and all staff good standard service,...
Read moreStarbucks on George Street is an easy pit stop when you are threading through the CBD and need something consistent. Big windows pull in plenty of light and the buzz from the street gives the room a steady energy without making it hard to talk. The queue moves quickly thanks to the order screens and a counter team who keep things friendly even when the lunchtime rush is stacked three deep. I like that you can actually smell coffee on approach, not just syrup. It feels like the right kind of busy city cafÊ, the sort you can duck into between meetings or sink into for twenty minutes while the weather sorts itself out.
Drinks land as expected, which is the point here. Espresso-based orders are reliable and milk is textured properly, so a flat white or cappuccino tastes familiar every time. If you are in the mood for cold and sweet, the iced brown sugar latte hits the spot without tasting like dessert, and the matcha latte is smooth rather than grassy. They are good about tweaks too. You can ask for half sweetness, extra ice, oat milk, or an extra shot and the baristas do not miss a beat. Food is the usual cabinet mix of toasted sandwiches, banana bread and croissants that come in handy when breakfast was an afterthought.
Practicalities are solid. There are a few pockets where you can park a laptop, power points along the wall, and the air conditioning gives relief on warm days. Cleanup keeps pace with the traffic and tables turn fast enough that you rarely wait long for a seat. It is not trying to be a specialty roastery, and that is fine. It delivers dependable coffee, quick service and a calm corner to reset before you head back...
