Sushi Bay — Restaurant in Sydney

Well, went here for lunch on Tuesday with 2 work colleagues, we ordered from the menu, rice and noodle dishes. The first one showed up after ten minutes, fine, the second came after 20 minutes, but mine, the third had not arrived after 35 minutes, at which stage we had to leave to get back to work. I had inquired twice re. My order, but still it never came. We paid the bill, the lady at the till asked if I did get my meal, and was somewhat dismayed that I did not get it. At this stage, the cook came out with the meal! I told him I now had no time to eat it. I was asked if I would like it as a take away, I said yes, but should not have to pay for it. The lady on the till did agree, so I waited for the take out. After a while of me hanging around by the counter, the manager came and asked me why I was waiting? I said I am waiting for the take away, at which he informed me the lady that authorised it was new, and she shouldn't of agreed to that. The food had been thrown out. I was not impressed and told him so, not with foul language or anything like that, more like what kind of establishment are you running here, if 3 people come in and order 3 dishes, they should come out together, and definitely not after 35 minutes, the web site says most people are in and out in 20 minutes. So, I left hungry, insulted and angry, terrible customer relations, and shame on him for not backing his staff member. Have been to this restaurant on several occasions, however will never darken...

Terrible. Poor hospitality and rude. Came here today 4th December, 2020 at 4pm. It's a hot day, I was really hungry and tired after medical appointments. I just needed to sit down and eat. So you can imagine how I felt when staff REFUSED to provide tap water or even a self-serve area to get water.

What was the excuse? They said they cannot give us water because of corona.......but they can give us plates!! They just didn't want to wash cups and were using a bogus excuse for the lack of hospitality.

If I knew I would not have picked up a plate. Sadly we had to finish the plate we had before leaving and having to find another place with WATER in the Summer. So sad and stressful.

I've eaten at other Sushi Bays and always had a lovely time. The food is good and the staff pleasant at other locations.

Now I can never come back. What a sheer lack of hospitality and...

Just interested in filthy money!!!Went with my son and left the place and he complained he was still hungry.i turned around and came back and had two more plates.i had already settled the first sitting and I had left the restaurant..when went to pay for the second sitting they charged me for a drink that they claimed they mistakenly missed the first time.i disputed the ethics of doing that .had I not returned they would not have been able to chase me down the street fir the missing item.So in essence coming back there in good faith was only seen as an opportunity to correct previous errors??i felt like i was treated very badly and you were extremely mercenary.maybe you should bill me for a missed black plate from one of the two hundred times I've been there.this incident was very disappointing and i will be taking my family elsewhere...
