I was out on a chill night walk when I noticed a charming little cafe glowing softly against the dark—Sweet Lu.
With its white tones and sleek minimal look, it immediately pulled me in. I decided to try their Portuguese Egg Tart and pair it with a Jasmine Milk Tea + Agar Pearls.
The egg tart was delightfully fragrant, warm, and the pastry was nicely crisp—exactly how you’d want it. The jasmine milk tea was refreshingly light, and I really liked the agar pearls; they added a smooth, bouncy bite that made every sip feel playful.
The place was so peaceful when I came—only me and one other customer. It felt like a private, cozy hideout. Definitely a pretty spot for quiet solo moments or low-key hangs. But soon enough, the cafe began to fill up—friends laughing over sweets, a couple chatting softly in the corner… It felt like a space that adapts to you, whether you’re in need of stillness or sweet company. A little hidden gem for all moods.

Read moreI will not be ordering from Sweet Lu again.
I placed an order and only received an email confirming that they’d notify me when the cake was on the way. However, I never received any notification, neither via email nor through the app.
I tried to reach out multiple times through two different social media platforms and sent numerous emails, but there were no responses. There are also no contact details provided anywhere, making it even more frustrating.
The order was placed over a week ago, and to this day, I haven’t received a single update. The tracking details on the app still say “Preparing shipment.”
I assumed the cake won’t be delivered, so I left after finishing work. Then, suddenly at 6:52 PM, I received a phone call saying my cake was here? That’s absolutely unacceptable. If they don’t have a proper system to be contacted immediately, they seriously need to fix it. At the very least, they should provide timely email responses to customer queries.
While I’ve always loved Sweet Lu cakes, I cannot recommend them to anyone anymore. This experience was incredibly frustrating and...
Read morePrice is not cheap however some flavors/stuffs are unique. -Pistachio croissant - average, quite sweet than other desserts I have tried here. Quite inconvenience to eat because of the shape. -Mango sticky rice cake - good but personally Ig sticky rice does not blend well with cake. -Tried its soy crepe, only quite sweet, unless the cream at the top. Perhaps more suitable for older people or that doesn't like strong sweet. -Osmanthus crepe cake, bitter and quite sweet. Also perhaps more suitable for older people or that doesn't like strong sweet and like bitter in their dessert. -Rose Lychee cake - from me 5/5
Tarts are more sweeter than crepes/cakes. I prefer to buy their cakes than tarts bcs I hv tried better tarts (but original portugues tart, not trying unique flavor such as this store). -Osmanthus tart - bitter and sweet. -Taro and mochi tart - prefer this bcs I don't fancy bitter sweets.
