This was the first and only cafe in this arts precinct for many years. Now it has tough completion from souring cafes in the Walsh Bay area. I've been coming to this cafe for 15 yeas and the thing that always stands out is the service is really slow - always. The staff are lovely but I always get the impression that they have something better to be doing than serving you. It is an artsy cafe with a lot of arts companies in residence there but even so..... However their lunch time salads are amazing and have been a staple for many years. Their halloumi and chicken salad is my favourite. The ease and convenience (and at one time, the monopoly), in the area is what makes this cafe a winner, although terribly over priced. I bought my first 10 class pass with two other girls and we were about to do our last class that was starting at 8 PM. we arrived at 8.07 PM assuming that the group was warming up and he just decided to scream at us for interrupting his class as he hasn't finished yet... Then he was pointing his fingers at us with face full of anger, seriously this is not how you tell people that your class hasn't finished yet. Thank you Sydney Dance Company but I go to classes to enjoy it, not to get stressed and screamed at and to deal with your director's high ego and no respect for students. Me and my friends won't be back...
