What an amazing experience.
Our firm arranged a client function here for a rehearsal for an upcoming tour. This was structured with some welcome cocktail-style drinks, attending a part of their rehearsal, and was then followed by more cocktail-style drinks and canapes.
Being located on one of the finger wharves at Walsh Bay that we were told was abandoned for many years before the ACO and others took residence, it is a special and spectacular place with incredible views of the harbour, particularly the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The rehearsal itself was impressive, although it was more than just a recital. The music was explained to us and there were times when they stopped and tried again (like a normal rehearsal). Read moreWent to Pier 2/3 on Hickson Road to see Steve McCurry's photography exhibition and just loved it. The upgrade that's happened and still happening around the area is fantastic. The old wharves certainly cleaned up well. Love all the old beams and floor boards. Was very lucky to have had such a beautiful day. Plenty of parking stations around, although it does pay to prebook.
The photography exhibition was brilliant. Love Steve McCurry's work. His portraits are beautiful.

Read moreTognetti needs to go. Tonight’s performance of “The Crowd and I” was an aberration. I am 34 years old, and based off this evening’s show I think the ACO should be immediately shut down. This show is deeply insulting to the goodwill of the audience who attend in earnest expecting something decent. Not a mishmash combo of Apple TV screen savers sliced together with extremely dull re-hashed news footage and jarring sounds. Bizarre activist propaganda wholly misses the mark, by a self important chap who has lost his way. I feel sorry for the musicians working at the ACO who trained for years to barely...
