The stairway entrance is very low key & not particularly easy to find which is a bit of a surprise. Once there its a fairly easy walk up and across. It's not terribly exciting except for the experience, & the views but it is definitely one to tick off your list. As you go across, (safely separated from the cars , & above the trains)you can choose to go up the ramparts but its not cheap (apx 18 dollars).A couple of security guards man the bridge ( must be so bored) to ensure safety. There's not much across the other side to rave about but if you turn left you may come across the 'secret garden' which is really pretty & again had fab views. Get a train back &...

Only found out after years in Australia that you could walk the Harbour bridge for free !! No need to do the bridge climb .... keep your money and go via the stairs, which even has an accessibilty-friendly lift, and experience a superb view of the city, Opera house, harbour, and, of course, The bridge itself for zero dollars. it's a good 20 minute walk each way from one side to the other, but you can get the full view experience even from one third of the way across if you're pressed for time or a bit too tired for the full crossing. Plus, it's only a short hop behind The Rocks to get to the stairs. This is a must do experience when you're...

No time or cash for the full Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb? No worries—you can still get the iconic experience (minus the harness, ladders, and hefty price tag) by simply walking across the bridge. There’s a convenient set of stairs—and even an elevator—taking you straight up from the street to bridge level.

The views are still incredible, your wallet stays happy, and you can go at your own pace. Bonus: no jumpsuit required. Plus you can take as many photos as you...

The bridge has stairs that go up and one that goes across to the Obervatory Hill park. We went up first to see the views around the area. There are two levels to the bridge, the mid way had a walkway that went along the bridge. The top level was almost at the height of the cars on the bridge and had a nice view over the water towards the Opera house. It also led to the Cahill Walk. The veiws here were quite nice and worth a stop, or even just a way to get to the other walkways.
