Ive always loved cauli. since the early 80's growing up in the area....but since moving out of the area, it's been harder to get back there, but we always catch up every 3-6 months with friends I find that with every visit...my experience seems to get a bit more distant....my last experience has made me think twice about having our little catch ups there .. .. Walking in the front door into an empty Bar ,after singing in, we were met by a cold faced bartender whom was not friendly ... Even though she made the one of the best expresso martinis I have had which I gave her a great tip, herself and the Duty Manager at the time whom was very unfriendly and cold towards us when I asked if it was possible to put the fan on as we were sitting upstairs in the cocktail lounge having lunch on a 34' day (and it is an open setting) I always enjoy the top bar, when there is music, DJ, that actually makes the cauliflower hotel the bartender upstairs was a but under the pump (on her own) as there were great cocktail specials at the time, but she was friendly and professional. She didn't stop ... There was a bit of a waiting time but it was worth it My friends and I enjoyed the food which is always terrific. I would say the best pub bistro in the area.. the best specials.. always ... and The cocktails.. Nothing much more to say.. Just a little...

My new local is an absolute revelation. This pub isn't just 'cosy', it has a wild charm (particularly when you walk upstairs and are transported into some Central American circa East India-company era cocktail bar). The atmospherics are brilliant - but I haven't begun talking about the food.

There's variety to be found here: the tacos are very very good (in particular beef and pork carnitas, and the absolutely NEXT LEVEL cauliflower taco). "Cauliflower taco?", I hear you say. Yes, it is indeed incredibly good - as is the Buffalo Cauliflower, a clever remix of Buffalo Wings. Absolutely binge-worthy. The burgers are outrageously generous and the chicken wings have proper Franks hot sauce and are succulent and tender. Perfection. The Cauliflower serves a competent parmi, but you're here for the other goods. Steer clear of the pepper sauce if you're getting it for chips - it's the one letdown (I always get pepper sauce at pubs because it's important - certainly not a dealbreaker for a venue, but does inform my future purchases).

5 stars awarded for cool as venue and cocktails, plus amazing food...

First impressions are the ones that seem to last. I joined my ex work colleagues for a catch up lunch and beer. It seem that most pubs serve the same beers by name and also taste. So is this just another pub on another corner in the already overcrowded pub scene. They all seem to customise the decor just to be different, and not for relevance, but this maybe so. The Cauliflower was open plan and the staff attentive and friendly, as was expected. No extended conversations just how's your day going. This is just what I need sometimes no question and answer session. At least the beer was cold and priced well. The food selection was good, but priced a little more than what a quick lunch should be. I doubt that I would seek this place out after work as it is located right next to a large noisy, dusty construction site. The beers hit the spot and the food filled the gap. I appreciate the effort the staff snd management go to make it appealing and inviting. It is well worth a visit, so go for it. I rate...

Last weekend my family & I booked n attended the bottomless brunch for my sisters 30th. Let me tell you from the way Luke was AMAZING from the start . I was a little bit hesitant to book so I did call the hotel a few times during the week with questions( I know , what a Karen lol). Luke had such great phone manner that made me feel comfortable & gave me reassurance this was the place for us. Turning up on the day ,Luke was THE BEST host. His customer service - UNBEATABLE . He was attentive , observant , pro active & lively. But I think what really stood out was his outstanding communication which was very refreshing. He walked us through the brunch , gave us updates on the food (btw also hats off the the chef and kitchen staff because WHY THE FOOD FIRE, we left no crumbs🔥🔥🔥) . He checked up on his & most importantly he made sure the drinks were flowing . Luke if you see this , thank you for making my sisters 30th memorable. You are the true example of what having work ethic looks like.

The food at The Cauliflower Hotel in Waterloo is an absolute delight! I tried a variety of dishes, and every bite was fantastic. The roast chicken with broccolini and potatoes was cooked to perfection, with the chicken tender and juicy, and the vegetables adding a fresh, vibrant touch. The nachos were a standout – loaded with toppings like guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños, every bite was bursting with flavour. The crispy battered fish and tacos were also hits, with each dish delivering on taste and presentation. The portion sizes were generous, and the balance of textures and flavours made for an enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're after pub classics or something with a bit of flair, The Cauliflower Hotel has it covered. Highly recommended!

Had a 1 month baby celebrations here yesterday and we had THE best time. From the moment we booked, the communication with Matt, through to arrival, set up and customer service. The food was delicious and HUGE portions which were beautifully presented, lovely bar person (Tashi I think her name was), who was really helpful and patient with us. Our guests complimented the decor and said it was beautiful, I'll definitely be returning to hold more events, there are so many different areas you can choose from. I've been told the trivia is great too, so will have to try it one day. Lovely local gem. Thank you to all staff who helped us make it a brilliant event.
