My friends and I, love korean food and have had our fair share of korean cuisine, bbq and marinades. This doesn’t top our list and we wouldn’t come back here. The food was mediocre wasn’t anything special at all. The pork RAD RIBS was mediocre, dry nothing out of the ordinary. I could make a better marinade at home. The Rice balls had barely any flavour. But the Galbitang was the only good thing!! If you dont include the soda. Overall we spent $150 between three people and we didnt feel that it was worth the hype on Tiktok. Also the manager? Looked deceivingly nice but caught him being really rude? demanding? towards one his workers. A customer’s makegoli sprayed everywhere and hit another patron and making mess by another table. He asked her (his worker) if she had apologised to the other patron and she was hesitant. He ended up apologising to them, grabbing the chucks and cleaned the mess for 3 seconds before he got up and demanded she cleaned the mess with an attitude as he pointed at the ground giving her an angry look, before proceeding too greet customers. A couple of more customers walked in, she was helping one of the groups getting water, getting them sat at the table. Before the manager? Pointing at the other patron with a annoyed face because they werent being greeted and helped getting sat at a table. I think he should of been more patient or at least a little nicer towards his staff because at the end of the day no workers, no service. The girl that served us was lovely and she didn’t deserve that at all. All these interactions were not a big altercation, My friend and I were being very observant for no reason and we both looked at each other weirdly and questioned each other “why?” She was the only server out on the floor for a while if i remember correctly. Before another worker jumped on the floor.
I don’t really leave reviews but I was really disappointed and had high hopes. You are better off going too MAMA ZZANG in Parramatta to satisfy those...
Read moreOur lovely friends took my husband and I to Zungle Korean BBQ on the Chinese Lunar New Year after their friend Lily suggested the venue as a fantastic place to eat, we were shown wonderful hospitality by Jieun and San and followed Sans recommendations for their specialty Zungle King Kong Rib and a pork belly dish. Both were delicious and set alight in front of us, but the rib sliced as we drooled and was so tender and fell off the bone, with a beautiful marinade poured over the top just prior to serving. I was expecting to prefer the pork belly as I'm not a huge beef fan but it truly was a specialty - definitely recommend! We were quite surprised that most menu items were gluten free except for the noodle dishes mainly and food was served with lovely triple condiment style tray of corn salad, relish, and mashed potato and some slaw. We also enjoyed the Korean Liquor Tasting Tray of Plum Wine, Raspberry Wine, Grape Wine and Rice Wine. Personally I'm not a Rice Wine fan but we ordered bottles of the Raspberry and Plum and had we of stayed any longer I'm sure the Grape would have been next. We also sampled a drink called Milki which was not alcoholic but also enjoyed. It was a lovely afternoon and the service was wonderful and the food fantastic and one place we would definitely be returning to again in future. I can't comment on cross contamination as my husband and I are not coeliac (I'm gluten intolerant and my husband has a wheat allergy). But we're definitely thrilled to have another Parramatta restaurant to add to our list! I didn't get photos of the menu as it was...
Read moreWent to this place for the first time with family. Although their BBQ meat weren’t to my taste, I enjoyed their spicy cold noodle. The soup was a slushy texture and tasted really great on a hot day. My partner and I went back again for the cold noodle. We arrived at 11:35, which is 5 minutes after the restaurant opened. We then ordered got our food at about 11:50. To my surprise, the $26 spicy cold noodle was served in a muddy water looking, above room temperature soup base, which is totally different to what it looked like a week ago. I asked the waiter and explained that I ordered the same dish a week ago and the soup was a nice slushy texture, which kept the cold noodle cold for a lot longer. The waiter replied without hesitation “it’s because you guys came when we just opened” implying there isn’t enough time for soup to become cold and slushy texture. I then asked how long will it take for me to get the normal version of cold noodle that I paid $26 for, since the muddy soup and not so cold noodle is not what I paid for. He said “that would take an hour”. He didn’t check with the kitchen, so I am assuming he knew this when we ordered. I would be absolutely fine if he let me know about this at the time when I made the order. I would have changed my order for another dish or go somewhere else to have a proper COLD noodle. There was no offering of ice or anything to cool down the soup, there was no “sorry about this” offered either. That’s all good. My partner and I won’t...
