Filled pastries here should come with a note: consume immediately. After only a few hours, the top layer's slightly damp. Also, a takeaway box with a secure lid would have saved me from diving to prevent my pastry landing on the car floor.
The Strawberries and Cream Bun, more like a pastry than a bun, is a generous size. āThatās $16.50 total, please.ā I raise an eyebrow. āHow much is the bun?ā ā$12.50. Itās our special of the month.ā āOk, Iāll skip the water, thanks.ā
The bun is worth this price tag: it's lightly sweet, with the optimal strawberry jam to cream ratio, a flaky interior and a crisp outer layer (apart from the wet top caused by the delay in eating). After the first bite, I forget that Iām supposed to share it with my daughter.
I visit during Tuesday lunchtime. The pastry display is full, but most people queue up for paninis, rolls and wraps. I'm not tempted to sway from their pastries. Next time Iām in Parramatta, Iām making a beeline for Threefold Pastry. Iām eager to try their Cinnamon Bun with Single O Expresso Custard. Or maybe Iāll go for the Tomato and Cheese Croissant, which is a bulkier, crispier, perfect wheel-shaped version of a cinnamon roll.
Itās tricky to find, but they're worth seeking out: go downstairs to Parramatta Station, walk toward Parramatta Square and they're next to Harvey's. If their monthly special is this nummy, itās no wonder their Plain Croissant earned a spot on āBroadsheetās Sydneyās Best...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1st time here 27.10.22 - was curious to try this place for awhile after seeing photos but it wasn't as great as I'd imagined - nice & good but not worth the price, unless anyone ever gets to experience these freshly made straight from the oven... guessing only staff are the only ones š I bought a few to try out Beef pie: Generous beef filling but the flavour was average. Only a bit of the top pastry was crispy but mainly soft - soggy base which i don't like Apple crumble croissant: I really enjoyed this. 1st time I had flavoured croissant, as I've always enjoyed plain croissant & never curious to try them until now. Pastry was average Almond croissant: Loved the crispy pastry on the outside & softness inside. The almond filling was nice but it was too much - the ratio of pastry vs filling was imbalanced - would've been nicer to have less filling Blueberry crumble danish: Pretty much a croissant in a different shape with fresh blueberries & blueberry jam topping. Pastry was nicely crisp on the outside & soft inside Cinnamon scroll: Disappointing flavour & texture. Pastry was doughy & the cinnamon wasn't as nice as Donut King's donuts
Returned on 11.11.22 so my partner could try their curry pie - it was average to me but my partner liked the flavour Ferrero Rocher croissant was yum Blueberry danish wasn't as nice as...

Finally, a place that have creative flavours filled pastries, that taste amazing without compromising the quality of the dough.
Whatās in the box:
Iāve got box of mixed pastries and one brownie šApple Crumble Croissant š«Oreo Brownie ā£ļøRed velvet cheesecake Croissant š„„Coconut Roche Croissant š§Zaatar and cheese Croissant
These were the most delicious & beautiful pastries. Seriously, the croissantās were so fluffy and light.
This bakery offers a variety of pastries & sandwiches that are m made fresh daily and wonderfully presented. Everything was delicious but My favourite was Red velvet cream cheesecake was buttery & sweet with a smooth cheesecake cream filling that was seriously delicious. The Apple crumble was also amazing, crunchy not overwhelming . The croissant is absolutely loaded with filling, not a single bite without it. which is great. You have to try the Oreo brownie it was so soft and gooey melts in the mouth. Coffee is very nice and...
