This has got to be the most unprofessional restaurant/bar I have EVER had to deal with!!! I booked at table at 7:15pm for a set menu dinner, confirmed using the link they sent me AND confirmed again when they called, only for them to change my booking the day before my birthday dinner without my approval to 10pm. I attempted multiple times to call and discuss the matter of my booking only to not receive any response back. So I spent all night stressing, having to finding a restaurant who can take last minute bookings. The next day, after I’ve booked for a dinner at another place at a REASONABLE time, they've changed my booking back to 7:15pm. I’ve messaged, asking them to change it back to 10pm without a set menu as I’ve already accommodated my night to suit the new booking that I’ve never consent to, to which they’ve agreed. We rock up to the place at 10pm for our table that we’ve BOOKED only for them to say they have NO TABLE and are only prioritising those who booked for set menus. Long story short, I never got my table that they’ve promised. This place is an absolute joke - thank you zaffis for causing me so much stress. I will never recommend this place to anyone. An absolute waste of my time!!!

This is not Lebanese food. it's more Lebanese inspired canapés. The houmous has Cumin in it. the grilled haloumi has honey on it. the menu is something you'll find in some swanky Jamie oliver kitchen. The Lamb shoulder was very fatty, prawns were spectacular (the only good thing), salads were nice. Swanky raw fish kibbe and raw king fish slices were left uneaten. 🤮. No REAL LEBANESE BREAD only fried bread to eat the dips and the swanky bread roll with zaatar on it is TWELVE DOLLARS 😂. The drinks you order take no less than 15-20min to arrive, if they arrive, and a 100ml mocktail is $20. The baklava cheesecake desert was putrid slop with no form to it, it's also to share, also left uneaten. Then the atmosphere, it's loud, and dark. The DJ starts slow but it later becomes ear piercingly loud with another dude smashing a drum in the underground enclosed space, forget about having conversations. Lots of people clapping and dancing in a half bent posture because the table behind is too close, not much mingling because you're trapped on your table with whoever you're there with. If you want a Lebanese meal find another place. If you want to party, also find another place. Best part of the night was leaving.

What can I say… best place to go in Sydney! It offers an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends authentic Lebanese flavors with a vibrant atmosphere. The menu, crafted by Executive Chef Graeme Hunt, features standout dishes like grilled halloumi drizzled with Blue Mountains honey and Lebanese thyme za’atar, as well as slow-cooked short ribs complemented by pomegranate dressing. The restaurant’s interior exudes industrial chic, with exposed brick walls and plush seating, creating an inviting space for various occasions. The ground-floor dining area provides a relaxed setting, while the downstairs section transforms into a lively late-night venue, complete with neon lighting and communal tables, encouraging patrons to dance and celebrate into the early hours. Open until 4 am on weekends, Zaffi stands out as a premier late-night destination. The staff’s warm hospitality enhances the overall experience, making every visit memorable. For those seeking a unique fusion of delectable Lebanese cuisine and dynamic nightlife, Zaffi is the place to be.

If I could give Zaffi zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute disaster when it comes to handling reservations and treating customers with basic respect.

We booked a table for 7:15 PM and had the confirmation email to prove it. Upon arrival, we were told our reservation had been moved to 10:15 PM without our knowledge. When we showed them the confirmation email, they dismissed it, insisting that whatever was in their system was correct—completely disregarding the proof we had.

After a long argument, they finally seated us at 7:30 PM but told us we had to leave by 9:30 PM because another group needed the table. They promised us a table downstairs after that, so we reluctantly agreed. But when we went downstairs, they stopped us because the girls occupying that table refused to leave. Instead of honoring their promise, Zaffi’s staff let them stay because they had "spent more money than us."

At this point, we had already been pushed around for hours and decided to wait until 10:15 PM, which was apparently our “new” booking time. Yet, even then, we were made to wait an extra 20 minutes while they supposedly prepared the table—only to be told that the previous group was still having dessert and they weren’t going to make them leave. By 11 PM, we still didn’t have a table.

The worst part? The owner, Chady, not only gave me a fake name to avoid accountability, but he also screamed at me and my friend, even going so far as to threaten us by saying, "If you keep looking at me that way, you’re not getting a table." He even told me to "take the fight outside." Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from someone running a business.

We wasted an entire evening on what was supposed to be a celebration, only to be lied to, disrespected, and completely disregarded. If you’re thinking of booking a birthday or any special event here—DON’T. They’ll push you around, overbook tables, and prioritize customers who spend more, all while treating you like an inconvenience.

Zaffi is the epitome of horrible service, shady management, and pure greed. Save yourself the headache and take your money somewhere that actually values...

I don’t like to write negative reviews, but my recent experience at Zaffi Saturday night was unacceptable. The venue was packed well beyond a reasonable capacity, making it difficult to move, let alone enjoy a meal or drinks. People were compressed shoulder-to-shoulder, and the noise level was overwhelming. It felt more like a fire hazard than a safe dining or clubbing environment.

The place was also messy – tables uncleared, floors sticky, and staff very visibly overwhelmed. I understand busy nights happen, but this went beyond busy; it was mismanaged and most likely a typical Saturday night for them

Definitely not the night out I hoped for. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place until they seriously rethink their capacity and cleanliness standards.

Charging $120 per head for dinner, plus extra for drinks.. food was nice & only saving grace…but overall experience terrible. Being knocked on head, back & chair being moved every few minutes…so many people breaking glass and staff struggling to get to it to clean up…They missed one of the deserts on the menu, but would not reason or understand the omission due to their apparent distress…& being overwhelmed by the sheer number of attendees and no room to move..staff after dinner s finished move tables and chairs out to turn place to a club all whilst paying customers are unreasonably awfully stacked against each other .. also as more customers are allowed in for the clubbing experience....in the excessively tight space…only one fire egress as well… wonder which national standards have been applied… Definitely a recipe for disaster , safety compromised to make extra cash for...

If I could rate Zaffi a zero I would. The “ restaurant” is not a “restaurant” or a bar, it’s a club apparently. No where on their website does it advertise as a club. Due to this reason, we had issues that we had one 17 year old with us, even though she was with responsible adults. Nonetheless, the staff are rude and abrupt, I have never felt more disrespected by restaurant owners in my life. The inability to communicate is ridiculous. I am aware of multiple people, including myself, who have attending Zaffi underage, and there has never been an issue. They claim they are a licensed small bar downstairs, although in government acts, it sets out legislation that a minor can be present in a small bar with a responsible adult. Although, apparently the law doesn’t matter at Zaffi, they make their own rules depending on how they feel that day. We were then seated upstairs, which I was never aware of in my booking also, where the speakers barely work and the entertainment is nonexistent, despite claiming they’re known for entertainment. The only entertainment I recieved was a grown man, yelling and screaming at me despite my calm approach to the situation. Aside from the horrible staff, the service is awful. They cleared out entrees after 15 minutes, and mains after 20. We never recieved dessert, even though we paid for the banquet, which also was apparently never recorded in my booking? Despite multiple text messages, stating my requests. None of my family members, friends or myself will ever attend Zaffi again, despite being multiple times before. If you want your night to be ruined, as my sisters hens night was, come to...
