Artizen Cafe — Restaurant in Tamborine Mountain

We were at the monkey tree cafe this morning, just a few shops up. We decided to leave there and give this place a go as it has new owners (used to be our favourite place for breakfast). We saw it was 5.0 star reviews so thought why not. Unfortunately our experience wasn't as great. The atmosphere and the service was wonderful 🙂 No complaints there at all.

The food however wasn't as wonderful. Everything on the plate was cold, on a very cold winters morning that's the last thing you want. The toast was literally rock hard and snapping off it was so over cooked, on all 3 plates. We got a big breakfast, the size was fine no complaints but there was just no flavour at all. The relish was nice and sweet though, great condiment for the dish. The scones were great also, I'd recommend those 🙂

Is it worth the $125 it cost for 4 dishes with no drinks, no way. Would i go again? Sure i'd give it another shot as everyone deserves a second go, it could have just been a rough morning for them.

Please take it as constructive criticism rather then a negative experience because if the customers don't say anything, you'll never know your areas of improvement. Oh also, some kids colouring would be great 👍...

Tried for first time. Lovely atmosphere and the service was prompt and friendly. Food, where do I start. Have to honest it was just awful. Wife had the haloumi salad and just picked out the haloumi and left the rest as it was not fresh ingredients and just tasteless. I had the teriyaki chicken salad, which was the same, so just ate the chicken. I also had a ham cheese tomato toastie, impossible to stuff up right? Wrong. Toast was cold, had no butter on it and had the consistency of cardboard. The cheese, ham and tomato were cold and not even cooked at all. Stopped by this café for lunch. The spicy pork had just the right kick—flavorful without being overpowering—and the bulgogi was tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly balanced with its toppings.

Portions were generous, presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted freshly prepared. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
