Situated right beside the iconic Nut, this cafe is the obvious place to go after an invigorating hike. There is a cosy fireplace and just that one window seat. So if you are very lucky and get to seat right by the window, you will get a sweet treat to the stunning view outside. The soup and toast was delicious but I was not fond of the salted caramel crunch ice cream. The ice cream had a rather cheap taste to it, although I am sure kids will still love the ice cream. Anyway the ice cream is from the Tasmanian manufacturer Valhalla and can be found everywhere in Tasmania; which would explain why the ice cream might not be made with premium ingredients being a manufacturer for the masses. The old man that ran the place was very cranky and told me the toilets were not open till 10 am. Preposterous!
