Pizzeria La Luna — Restaurant in Victoria

It was a weird start to our time at this place - we walked in- looked at menu - almost got served then were told after we looked at menu that they don’t start service til 5. Door was open at 3.30 though. Barring that slightly little hilarious interaction as well as us trying to explain where we’d be staying and everyone trying to guess if they could deliver.....

Couldn’t have asked for better service or pizza. Friendly as help people inside, extremely friendly and polite delivery driver. If I’d have had cash on me I’d have tipped him.

The pizza was delicious. Absolutely packed with ingredients and super flavoursome. Came hot despite the long trip out to Basalt from Daylesford.

Will happily eat here again!...

Daylesford is spoilt for choice with great pizza options but they’re all very different. Whilst we love the simplicity of the rustic Italian pizzas at Beppe with a glass of good wine, it’s La Luna we’ve been coming to for 15 years for pizzas that bring comfort. The base is not too thick and not too thin. The toppings are generous and full of flavour using local ingredients like Istra salami. And the Fior di Latte cheese is to die for. We ordered our pizza here last night and found it fresh and delicious, the pizza was thin style and the crust was lovely. The toppings were good, not too much and not too little. We did have to order a garlic pizza instead of a garlic bread as they don’t do garlic bread, which for me was a little bit disappointing as I don’t like a lot of cheese. Overall, we enjoyed the pizza and would have again.

There is no seating, so I gave four stars for the atmosphere as the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The wait time is around about 30 minutes so please factor that into...
