Booked special anniversary dinner for two Saturday night. Friends came round for celebratory drink at lunchtime. At two o'clock notification that one was Covid positive. Immediately notified 2 Noble need to cancel. I Accepted cancellation fee of $50 for our non-attendance as clearly stated on their on-line proforma. Another friend rang 2 Noble one hour later wanting a table for two for our cancelled table and we're told table already booked by others. I do not mind paying a cancellation fee if table vacant but when booking is immediately taken up that is double dipping RIP-OFF. Please justify RIP-OFF..........?!?!?.
Booked 6July 2024 for two at 2 Noble St. Covid contact so cancelled responsibly! $50 correct legal slug. BUT..,,.. Table for two booked by others successfully one hour later!! Legal advice says 2 Noble correct legally but MORALLY suspect. Legal advice: promulgate greed to all and sunder. Unofficial advice from friends: should have attended dinner to avoid RIP-OFF and spread potential virus to all of Hotel patrons. (Tested Negative repeatedly...
Read moreDined here last night. Decor and ambience was lovely. Staff were fantastic and very attentive. Food was over all good but portions way too small for the price. The lamb ribs were so tiny I actually laughed when they came out but they were full of flavour. Prawns in betal leaf were nice but wouldn't order again. Tuna tartare special was lovely also. The medium plates didn't excite us so we ordered two mains instead. The duck and Scotch fillet. Both were amazing but the Scotch fillet was outstanding. Honestly one of the best dishes I've had in a long time BUT both dishes were literally just the meat and sauce on a plate and at $55 each that's steep. Both were also super rich and were screaming for a side dish of greens but unfortunately the sides dishes were lacking. We ordered the egg rice which had a weird taste to it but not unpalatable. The food bill came to $215 for those 6 dishes. Cocktails were nice and decent wine list. Overall definitely come and try it but be prepared to part with a wad of cash or My suggestion would be to come for the...
Read moreHad dinner on a weds night here Just a random choice as its close to home. The restaurant was almost full at 7.30 when we arrived which surprised me. The drinks list I thought very price @$14 for a draught beer and not many wines to choose by the glass,so we just went fir the wine specials which were good and $12 each As for the food,we chose 2 entrees to share and 2 mains which was enough food to satisfy us. The eggplant tempura Was interesting, good batter but if you closed your eyes you'd swear it was banana fritter. Chicken lamb was nice, but what serve it with coz n not iceberg my only question. Veg curry was the highlight, yummy flavour and crunch Why on earth wouldn't it be served with rice???? Duck was soso, good sce but duck a little chewy. Had better at chines take away s once again it comes with no accomniment. There are sides to order as add ons. Not much to choose from on desserts menu. I think its a little overpriced,so can't see going...
