First time here for an anniversary lunch with wife; place was moderately busy and clearly caters to office workers for lunch. Decent ambience; service of two staff we interacted with can be described as perfunctory. Food took about 25 min from order to table. Lamb Ragu - pasta work was refined and light - I normally struggle to finish a full plate but had no trouble this time. Roasted eggplant was too disintegrated, olive flavor could be more forward, overall seasoning was under-salted so I had to add. Could be more generous with the lamb pieces (tender) as I had to search for them. A fine tasting dish overall but I expected more attention to details for the price. Calamari Fritti - batter was light and crunchy; the calamari itself was cooked just a little over so got a bit chewy towards the end. Had to remove some aioli as it was overwhelming the dish. A good plate of food overall for a light lunch.

We travelled from Victoria to Western Australia for business and stayed at Sage hotel for the duration and loved the convenience of Julio's. Whether it be breakfast, late afternoon light meal or dinner Julio's was able to cater for this. The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant and attentive staff - especially Gillian and Sebastian (like the crab 🦀) was what we needed after what was an extremely busy work day. While we did have an issue with one of our dinning experiences, Sebastian and Gillian went over and above to rectify the situation once they were alerted to it. If you are in town, definitely drop in - the Bruschetta (with a poached egg), Calamari Fritti and Patatine were delicious. Thanks so much for making our first trip to Perth enjoyable and keeping our bellies full.

Love this restaurant especially the heritage building it is in. Friendly staff and great food. Plenty of parking spots at night which is a nice break from the major busy areas like the city Northbridge or Mt Lawley etc. We got the arancini (delicious) beef cheek ravioli (really yummy, beef cheek filling melts in your mouth) and the gnocchi in a gogonzola sauce with prawns, zucchini and chilli. I love chilli but for those who tolerate it, I would suggest to ask for less chilli as it can be quite hot for some people. Great experience once again.

Have eaten here more times than I can recall when in Perth for work and is one of my favourite go to restaurants. Made a booking two nights ago for a table of 6 with work colleagues that are traveling with me. Great food, great service and paying sesperate bills was made easy and convenient by helpful and cheerful staff. Made a second booking again this evening for a table of 5. Once again could not fault the food or the service by the wait staff initially. However, paying the bill tonight was made unnecessarily uncomfortable by Nancy the Restaurant manager with claims it can't be done. She went on further advocating the system is new and they haven't been trained. Putting aside the point that I travel and eat here regularly in Perth, I recall being told last year of the new system. So, personally it seems somewhat unusual that the system would have be replaced again in such a short period of time. Happily stand corrected if course. Nancy continued saying it can't be done, we haven't been trained. I pointed out I was here 2 night ago and the staff hand no issues whatsoever. The process to me anyway appeared seamless and effortless. After much grumbling Nancy produced a tax invoice and I was able to pay for my portion of the meal and alcohol. My colleagues got the same treatment each of us paid our portion of the account with the last of my colleagues being told how much paper Nancy has wasted in producing 5 receipts. What an interesting comment that was to paying customers. Unfortunately, the customer service shown to our group by Nancy was very poor and not an accurate reflection on the food. It was in complete contrast in fact to the great service we received by the young las who looked after us previously and again this evening until told she could go by Nancy. I will add we all noted how the service fell away from that point as on numerous occasions we had to flag down staff of us to purchase more drinks. Most gave up in the end which sadly is a significant loss of revenue to the restaurant. I'm sure we can all appreciate restaurants just don't rely on profits generated by food but dining cover costs per head are significantly enhanced by alcohol purchases from patrons. This one experience really did leave quite an unsavoury taste for all of us and it's now unclear if we will will return again. Such a shame as the quality of food is frankly...

This has to be the worst Italian food I had in years.

The burrata, best dish of the night, came with TWO cherry tomatoes, and a huge bunch of rocket with nearly no dressing, not even olive oil. The burrata itself was good (from la Delizia) but it was very cold straight out of the fridge, and the rest was just the laziest dish you can imagine.

The risotto had no taste at all, zero. Not even salt. Asked for some Parmesan to give the dish some taste, they brought something that was either not real Parmesan (maybe some cheap parmesan knockoff) or if it was real it must have been extremely stale. It tasted bitter, no other flavour there. Rice was overcooked and mushy. This wouldn't have passed as hospital food.

The pasta al forno (oven-baked pasta) was probably the worst pasta al forno of my life. Tasteless penne pasta (do you guys put any salt in the cooking water?) , some horrible, and I mean horrible Bolognese sauce, tasted nothing like Bolognese, more like maybe some industrial sauce woolies home brand meat sauce, and on top there was a thick layer of gummy cheese you may find on a Domino's pizza or on a pub's chicken parmi.

On top of this, there was blasting air-conditioning, freezing cold and it made me feel like I couldn't wait to leave the place. Asked to turn it down a bit, I got told a plain NO. Noticed also other people in the room had their jacket on, no wonder.

The rest of the menu had lots of other red flags, such as Linguine Marinara with seafood, tomato sauce, AND parmesan+cream (???). I have lived in Italy for 27 years and believe me, this is NOT what Italian food is, this to me is outback pub food, with a fine-dining pricetag. With so many good Italian restaurants in Perth, this one has to be the worst I've...

Came here on a Friday night for my cousins birthday. It was shockingly quiet with only two other groups there. Given how quiet it was I'm astounded by the poor service.

My cousin requested a drink that was listed online in their menu, the cocktail was why she had wanted to come here. The waitress said it was their old menu and not available. She was a bit blunt but by itself not an issue.

We later tried to order a different cocktail off the menu. The bartender when asked just said "no you can't have that" again bit rude, we asked why and he said they had no pineapple. Again, not an issue but rude delivery. We should have seen this as a sign for what was to come!

The food arrived, after a substantial wait considering we were one of only a few tables. The 'vegan' dish came with feta cheese and the 'vegetarian' dish came with prosciutto.

When we asked about the prosciutto and requested the meal be taken back the waitress very condescending explained to my sister that if you want something vegetarian you have to ask, even if listed as vegetarian on the menu. She did take the food back after a lot of complaints. About 5 minutes later she returned with another waitress who placed the meat dish on the table and said "you may as well eat this because we won't be taking it off the bill". Ignoring the fact that the table was mostly made up of vegetarians, so we definitely werent going to be eating it! We didn't order it and we didn't want it.

Mistakes happen, I get that. But to be so rude, condescending and unwilling to rectify it is disgusting. Honestly shocked and astounded, will never...
