Despite our repeated visits to Benesse Busselton, we’ve encountered a series of disappointments that have overshadowed our desire to enjoy the cafe. One recurring issue has been the delivery of incorrect orders, leading to instances where our food ended up on another table. Even when the right dishes were brought to us, they arrived cold on two separate occasions, impacting the overall dining experience.

The lack of consistency extended to the coffee orders, with mix-ups occurring more than once. Furthermore, we found ourselves in situations where the staff struggled to locate our table for delivery, a surprising occurrence given that we had observed the same staff members since the cafe’s opening.

Unfortunately, the shortcomings weren’t limited to the service. On multiple occasions, we faced the inconvenience of not having enough cutlery provided with our meals, which added to the overall frustration.

While the food itself was acceptable, albeit nothing to rave about, the repeated instances of subpar service and quality have left us with a sense of disappointment. It’s worth noting that these experiences transpired during non-peak times, making it more disheartening that such issues persisted even when the cafe wasn’t at its busiest. We truly wanted to like Benesse Busselton, but the inconsistency in both service and food quality has left us hesitant to recommend it to others.

Edit: We have always ordered at the counter as the QR code has never been up and running...

Many years ago, I was not a good man, I was starved of money and all I wanted was money. So when I saw this place, the location, it's position, I thought to myself this is the place to rob from. So I planned my robbery, until one Tuesday night everything changed. I was analysing the premises as my plans were coming to a finish, when I smelt it. Citrus Pancakes, some in the bin. I couldn't help it, I had a little nibble. Truth be told it was so delicious, I literally put the robbery plans into my mouth and ate the papers, I was feining for more food from this place. I slept that night just outside the cafe, and as the sun rose and the rooster's crow woke me, I waited eagerly for the opening of the cafe. As it opened I wandered in, cold and clothed in poor clothing. The insides were amazing, modern and sleek 🤩. The staff were very friendly, giving me a free chef's uniform as I was cold, not to mention the free pancakes. To this day, I sleep in the dumpster around the corner, awaiting the rooster crow that signals me every morning to the opening of the cafe. This place turned me from criminal to Benesse Busselton's knight in shining armour, as anyone who dares open a business to challenge this place, will have to go...

Whilst we'd heard good things about this place, unfortunately our experience was not so. My partner and I ordered separately but one after the other, and at the same table. Her food took nearly 20 minutes longer than mine to come out, which unfortunately meant mine was quite cool by that point.

As a caution to anyone that is going to order it too, with Eggs on Toast the eggs and the toast are covered in pepper (which is not mentioned when ordering or on the menu), and the toast is pre-buttered with a lot of butter - I had to sit the toast up side down to let the butter drain off, which left a puddle on the plate after.

Lastly, the egg option says 'fried', but it's actually a medium sunny side up, so if you are not a fan of clear runny whites, or trying to pick the dry crunchy rosemary leaves out of it, then this option is not...

We stopped by Benesse for breakfast on two occasions while on our trip down south and we are so happy we went! It’s such a relaxing atmosphere, with woody and green accents. The coffee was really tasty and didn’t taste watery or burnt, it had an aroma of flavour. The food was really good quality, my partner loved the ā€œwhat came firstā€ so much that he got it twice, and the orange zesty pancakes were so fluffy and bursted with orange. The only thing that surprised me was that the salmon for the eggs benny was actually pickled salmon, not smoked salmon. However it was still delicious! Definitely will be coming back on our next trip down 😊 The pricing in my opinion is a good deal for what you get, you get a large serving of food for a decent price. My one critique: it would be great to have hash browns! šŸ˜‰

What an asset to Busselton CafĆ© scene! I frequently drop in for coffee, light snacks and sometimes a more substantial breakfast or lunch. The menu has plenty of variety and there’s always something scrumptious in the cabinet. The staff are attentive and on the ball, tables cleared quickly, menus, water and glasses arrive shortly after seating. I’m particularly fond of my prepaid coffee card (best coffee at the best price in town - highly recommend). Big shout out to the staff member who plated our delicious Citrus Pancakes after I’d asked to share the serving with my elderly mother in law. Two perfect servings arrived and looked just beautiful. She really enjoyed her pancake as did I. Thank you ā¤ļø

First time at the Busselton Benesse Cafe, Dome still hasn't re-opened which was our usual favourite place for a quick tasty meal. But the atmosphere and layout of Benesse comes across as a more upmarket version with extra tables and nicer outlook from the alfresco area. The meals were great and the staff and service were excellent, the manager was obviously mentoring the younger newer wait staff which is great to see. Definitely a thumbs up and I can highly recommend a visit to this establishment and give it a try.
