Me and my family have always supported this restaurant for years, even when it was chicken treat. Used to love going here for dinner, but the past few years it’s really gone downhill. Multiple times we have ordered, through drive-thru or the app, and made the same request: ‘please replace chicken pieces with chicken tender’, yet they manage to stuff it up countless times. So many times I have had to go back and ask for them to change it to what I actually ordered. As a former fast-food worker myself, I understand small mistakes like this can happen occasionally. The way it’s managed afterwards is also crucial for the whole customer service experience. Having to wait at the counter while the workers look at you, not saying anything like “just be a moment” or “won’t be long” etc. And not once did I hear a ‘sorry’ or anything at all from who I assumed was the manager. Yes they gave us the chicken tenders, but not receiving a sorry or any other compensation was just as irksome as having them stuff up my order. Don’t get me wrong, the chips always have been pretty good, but the quality of the burgers has gone down hill. Sometimes it looks like it’s been run over by a bike? There’s a literal mark on the burger bun that looks like a tire mark. Obviously I know it hasn’t been, but what is that? The bread is also really crumbly, it feels stale and not fresh.
Sad to see how downhill this place has gone. Won’t be coming here anymore...
Read moreThis is the second time we've had delivery issues with this store. A couple months ago I ordered meals Via the Uber app that didn't arrive for 1.5 hours. Uber advised this store do their own deliveries and so refund and tracking enquiries had to be directed to the store. Contacting the store was difficult, most times the phone wasn't answered. When I eventually got through, an hour after ordering I was told it should be there any minute. No apology or offer of refund. The food didn't arrive for another half hour and was barely warm. If I hadn't just had surgery I would have driven to the store for an explanation.
After that joke of a situation I've been reluctant to order a delivery from Kalamunda Red rooster again for a few months but decided tonight to try via the Red Rooster app. The order was accepted and payment processed from my account.
The tracker on the app doesn't work. 1 hour 20 minutes and 2 messages left on an answering machine later, and our food still isn't here.
If the store is unable to fulfill delivery orders they should be contacting customers to advise- that's why contact details are required.
What should be a fun night and special treat for hungry kids ends up being a waste of time, with lukewarm food, tired hungry disappointed children and total lack of customer...
Read moreAs a regular customer, I visited Red Rooster drive through @ Kalamunda today 22/2/24 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
We were hoping to try there "New Sweet and Sour chicken", but they didn't have any!
Chips: The chips were soggy and barely warm. A good serving of crispy, hot chips is essential for any meal, and this fell short.
Quarter Chicken: My order of a quarter chicken was also barely warm. It was dry and over cooked.
Rooster Burger: My wife ordered a Rooster burger, which arrived lukewarm. A burger should be hot and flavorful, but this one missed the mark.
Overall, the quality of the food was terrible, it went into the bin when we got home. I hope Red Rooster Kalamunda takes customer feedback seriously and improves their food quality and service.
