A very nice hotel located 5 minutes away from the old city of Salzburg. The staff was VERY nice and helpful. There is a nice lounge operated from 11:00 A.M until the late evening where you can prepare yourself a coffee or relax. The rooms are nice overall although not as good looking as in most of their pictures. Rooms on the lower floors that face the main road are a bit too loud - You'd better ask for a room facing the interior street. The rooms ARE clean although simple. They are fine if you come over only ''to sleep' and don't expect much more. A drawback - there is no parking. The hotel got an arrangement with a closeby parking lot for 15 euro per 24 hours instead of 18... but it's not good enough in my mind. Overall - a nice hotel if you come to 'travel' all day long and just rest at the hotel. Otherwise - it's not enough.

Our room was dated, not clean and a tad creepy. We got put in what the reception told us was an upgrade to “the best and most special room” in the hotel and it was completely unlike the photos online. After seeing it and realising it’s not what we had booked, we asked about the room and were told we had been “upgraded” and the room actually used to be a chapel, as it was an archbishop who built this entire residence back in the 1600s and he wanted a place of worship inside his home! We appreciated the history but not how it’s been maintained since. Metal and bare chandeliers, walls had black spots/heavy dust all over, bad silver paint job, mix of low and high ceilings. I unfortunately didn’t enjoy my stay here and found it hard to sleep. Hotel team members were friendly and location was great! So we did enjoy those aspects.

Excellent location. You can walk to all points in downtown. No on location parking but discounts upon check out at nearby Mirabell parking garage. Still here now so I don't know the prices yet or shock yet. Free beverages at the lounge after 11 am is a plus. Old historic building and furniture. No in room kettle as fire hazard precaution. 15 euros for breakfast. Good connection free wifi. Good size room with slanted roof on 4th floor so watch your great at times.

I would not stay at this hotel! It is very dangerous and they have horrible communication and don’t listen. The shower is very slippery. It is the worst hotel out of all the countries I have visited and never experienced anything like this. We stayed here and the front desk and manager are not helpful and rude. Our power in the room went out and Sofia from the front desk fixed it, and then 5 minutes later the power went out again. She came and fixed it again, and then power went out about an hour later again. I was in the bathroom when this happened and could not see and hurt my leg. This is a hazard! Sofia is not an electrician and refused to have a technician come to look at it and fix it. She is very robotic and does not listen to the customer’s concerns. When we first brought up the power going out, there were other tourists who were also expressing that their power went out too multiple times throughout the day and no one ever came to fix it. This hotel does not have a manager available past 4 pm to speak with and Sofia refused to not only have a technician come, but also refused to call her manager. There should always be a supervisor or manager available. Also they could not move us to another room because they claimed they are full, when hotels should always have an extra room available for emergency situations like this. When we finally did speak to a manager Christina the manager told us that we can just go to another hotel and asked what do we want her to do about it rudely without any concern or empathy. The day before our power went out, we asked the front desk if we can have a doctor come to the room due to not feeling well. We were told several times by a manager and another employee at the front desk they can call a doctor for us but not if it is after 1 pm. So we waited until the next day, and then they tell us it is not possible to have a doctor come. Then when we pushed it and pushed it, they finally say that they can call one. These employees are liars and lazy and don’t want to call people and help.I would not even give a 1 star, I would only...

Dear Hotel Am Mirabellplatz Management,

I recently had the pleasure of staying at your esteemed property, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience.

Firstly, I must commend you on the amazing location and the quality of the rooms. They were spacious, clean, and well-lit, creating a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. These aspects of my stay were truly commendable and contributed significantly to the overall positive experience.

However, I encountered some challenges regarding the dining services, specifically the vegetarian breakfast options. On the first day, despite notifying the reception, I was disappointed to find a lack of hot vegetarian dishes available. Additionally, the interaction with the chef was not as pleasant as I had hoped, which was disheartening.

On a brighter note, the situation improved significantly on the second day, thanks to the kindness and prompt service of the Austrian manager, who went out of her way to accommodate my dietary needs with boiled potatoes and fruits. Her efforts were greatly appreciated and demonstrated the high level of customer care that I believe your hotel strives to offer.

To ensure that all guests have a similarly positive experience, I would like to suggest the following:

Clear communication between the reception and kitchen staff regarding guests’ dietary requirements.

A diverse selection of hot vegetarian options as part of the breakfast menu.

Training for all staff to handle special requests with the utmost respect and consideration.

I believe these improvements will not only enhance the dining experience for future guests but also reflect the overall excellence of your establishment.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I look forward to visiting again and enjoying the continued evolution of your services.

Warm...

Location- We found the hotel incredibly easy to locate using public transportation. We came via train from Munich and took a bus from the train station to the hotel. The location cannot be beat. Everything we wanted to do as far as tours meet at Mirabellplatz which is literally across the street from the hotel. Around the corner you can find sushi, burgers, and cafes. A block down you can find a small grocery store. If you walk a different direction you will find a store you can grab toiletries. Rooms- Our room was lovely with beautiful views! We were on the fifth floor and found it very peaceful. We opened the windows a few times for fresh air and to listen to the bustling city below, but once the windows are closed, we could hear very little from outside. The room is equipped with heat and air. Breakfast- Absolutely buy the breakfast. Many options to pick from, and like everyone else we met, the staff was friendly. Staff- I don't understand how anyone could say anything other than positive things about the staff. Every single time we left or came back we were greeted warmly! Our first night here it was cold and rainy. We were tired and hungry and didn't feel like walking anywhere. The staff helped us with information on a meal delivery app (Liefernando which is like Uber eats) where we ordered some Italian food for delivery. They answered all of our questions without seeming bothered. I wanted to stay two more nights and they made it seamless. Like I mentioned, every time we left and a came back we were greeted. This made us feel very welcomed. If no one was sitting at the desk (late at night) then they came out of the office to welcome us back. The "kids" at the front desk were very professional, kind, knowledgeable, and made the stay that much better. • There's nothing not to like...
