This hotel has a fully automated check-in process. They will send e-mail two days before asking to complete some check-in details first so when arrive there will be very quick on the check-in kiosk. They even provide guidance on how to enter the front door as there's no one there to help. I got into some problem at first because the email they send is through Agoda which removed all the links due to security reason. So i had to ask Agoda tech support to ask the hotel to resend the emails directly to me to do the check-in. Luckily they did that in time and i able to complete the process and when we arrive at 9pm, the check-in and getting the key cards are all swift.
The view from our room is looking at the church opposite road and also the road below. Scenery is not the best but the room itself is the best one throughout our East Europe of 5 countries (6 cities). Beautifully decorated room, high ceiling and quite large. Even the sofa bed alone could sleep two adults. Bathroom is big enough and all amenities provided. No buffet breakfast but can order standard breakfast set one day before at 9 Euro.
Location of this hotel is very good. Looking down at the street is where the tour bus company wait to begin the tour. So we can see the bus to Hallstatt waiting there to start the 8am tour. We took the 12pm one. And from here can walk all the way to Salzburg Cathedral and onwards to Festung Hohensalzburg. We did that and even had breakfast at the famous Cafe Sacher. We came back in time for the 12pm tour. And that evening we walked to Mirabell Gardens and to the cathedral again for the Rupertikirtag festival. Wonderful final evening of our East...

The location is perfect, situated right between the train station and the town center. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and it’s still easy to walk even with large luggage. It takes another 10-15 minutes to reach the town center, and we didn’t use public transport to get there.
The facilities are good. We were assigned a room on the first floor facing the Andre Church, and you can easily access the room by stairs or lift. We also used the lockers during a day trip after checkout. There are 10 lockers available, which can fit large luggage (mine is about 28 inches) and require inserting a 1 euro coin for use (you can get it back when you open it). The room was clean and comfortable. To protect the environment, you might need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, and conditioner.
Although they don’t have a reception counter, the staff will contact you before your stay for an easy online check-in. This makes registration at the check-in kiosk easier, as you just need to scan the QR code and pay the tax.
We enjoyed our stay and admire how they have beautifully renovated and utilized the 300+ year-old building (as our day tour guide mentioned) as a lovely hotel. I would recommend it and look forward to our...
Read moreParking is advertised as a hotel facility, but there is none — only a nearby car park with a reduced rate (€26/day). I asked three times for parking information before my stay and was simply ignored.||The hotel claims to offer a smooth digital check-in process. In reality, it doesn’t work. My confirmation had a blank space where the online check-in link should have been. After digging through the website I managed to check in and was told my “digital keys” were ready. Instead I got the message “problem getting keys”. When I showed this at the desk, the response was: “Oh, it doesn’t work. Maybe next week.”||The room was tiny, dominated by an oversized TV that made it feel even smaller. The glossy photos make the place look glamorous, but it’s really a budget hotel charging premium rates, in a slightly dodgy part of town where the homeless congregate in the car park outside.||Ignored questions, broken promises, misleading advertising, and...
