Café Benedikt — Restaurant in Vienna

We stopped by for breakfast before our flight and enjoyed both the classic breakfast and the ham & cheese omelette. Each was delightful, and I felt we received great value for what we ordered.

We also indulged in the chocolate cake, served warm, which was absolutely sensational. The interior of the café added to its charm, creating a lovely atmosphere.

However, the standout feature was the exceptional service. Our server was incredibly friendly and shared insights about the importance of cream in Viennese coffee. I completely agree; whipped cream enhances everything! His warm and humorous demeanor truly enriched our experience.

Delicious authentic austrian breakfast place. The service was lovely and the food came out really fast. Tasty and cute. A bit pricey but typical for an Austrian place. They are open from 7am and that is really convenient if you just arrived in town and are looking for a nice breakfast place....

Das Essen mag gut sein, leider scheiterte es bei unserem Besuch schon am grundlegendsten Service, so dass wir gar nicht erst bestellt haben. Im Lokal war wenig los und wir haben uns auf einen freien Fensterplatz gesetzt. Kurz nach uns kamen offenbar Stammgäste rein, die vom Personal freundlich begrüßt wurden und von der Kellnerin die Karte bekamen – wir wurden nicht beachtet. Nach einigen Minuten kam sie dann endlich zu uns: "Wissen Sies schon oder brauchen Sie die Karte?" Natürlich wollten wir die Karte – wie soll man denn sonst wissen, was zur Auswahl steht? Aber anstatt uns die Karte auf unsere Bitte hin zu bringen, machte die Kellnerin wieder minutenlang etwas anderes. Nach insgesamt etwa 10 Minuten bekamen die Gäste, die nach uns gekommen waren, schon ihren Kaffee serviert, während wir noch immer auf die Karte warteten.
