Pappa e Ciccia — Restaurant in Vienna

we ordered in english, using the exact wording of the menu (ravioli with butter and sage), pointing at the menu as well. what we got was ravioli with tomato sauce, so we asked for a change, having ordered the other dish because of the butter and sage. four different waiters came, each saying we ordered the wrong thing and left to get a different person. then the owner (?) came and even included another table in the discussion for 15 mins to bring his point across! the actual problem was that the menu says „ravioli“ for both Culurgiones and Ravioli in the english translation, and the waiter taking our order just assumed what we wanted, even though we read out the full english translation written in the menu. when the owner finally accepted that it is the menus fault and not ours, he was very pissed and finally switched our dish. after the incident we noticed another table who discussed havily with the waiters, and even followed them into the kitchen. would never come again, service was terrible and pizza was dry, the culorgiones were boring and too soft, and they charged us for a dish they...

After reading so many good reviews and living so close we decided to give this place a try. I ordered the grilled calamari and my girlfriend the pasta of the day. After eating grilled calamari all summer in Greece and Spain i was really looking forward. During the waiting it smelled a bit burned. I got my calamari and they looked good , only the small ones looked burned. when we both tasted everything was bitter and burned. After telling the waiter the owner came back with the plate and put it on the table next to us. He said that they made them always burned like this. no understanding for my complaint, when i asked him to taste his reaction was that he doesn't eat fish. didn't wanna change them or let somebody else taste. This is not the way you handle customers complaints and let them pay for it as well. Maybe the chef needs to clean his grill so this doesn't happen again. We NEVER go back! oh, the pasta of the day...

Yeah yeahh.. pasta is good.. whatever! This is not how you treat a new customer!! Especially a foodie like myself, what a shame.

The manager made me put my "phone", above everything, there, because I had to pay and when I gave my card they didn't take it. Place doesn't say cash only anywhere. They seat you and then expect you to have cash on you. It's 2021 people!

After I refused to give my phone, and telling them I literally live 2 buildings away, and that I'll bring cash, these id*ots thought I'd run away for 16 euros!!!! Truly a shame.

Regardless of other reviews,, Don't go, these guys...
