So far the worst experience I have had in a café in Vienna. I ordered an Americano and received a latté instead. Upon telling the waitress I got the wrong order, she just asked me “why did you put the spoon in it?” (I did so to check if it was really a latte under the foam, or if the foam was maybe covering a dark coffee), and then looked at me as if it was my fault that my order was wrong. The café is called Europa, yet they have only 1 english menu. The waiters look at you in a condoscending way, as if you are something less, but maybe they just do that to tourists. Not once did they come to check on us or ask if everything was alright. The men’s bathrooms are kept in a sort of “punk” style - a little dirty and very, very smelly (men’s room more so than women’s). Upon paying, the waitress demanded a tip, explaining that it was a standard, even though the service definitely did not deserve one. Still, we were pressured into leaving at least 3 euros. The only saving grace of the entire experience was the tasty food and the cool interior design, but not enough to make up for the horrible service. I definitely do not recommend coming here unless you want mid food, bad service and a mandatory tip.

Had an awesome time at Café Europa! I stopped by late at night with a few friends, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The atmosphere is super chill but lively — the kind of place where you can hang out for hours without even noticing the time. The service was great too. Friendly, relaxed, and they made us feel right at home. As someone visiting from the U.S., I really appreciated the easygoing vibe and how welcoming everyone was. The bartender that served us, Vian, was a great host and an excellent bartender. His Expresso Martini and Mojitos are out of this world. We had a few drinks and just enjoyed the night. It’s one of those spots that has a little bit of everything: good music, good people, and a great atmosphere. Would absolutely come back next time I’m in town.

Very confusing environment. We went there for breakfast and coffee. Too many visitors with very few staff. We were waiting for too long to give our order and then too long to serve us the food. Some tables that arrived later than us they were being served earlier with the same dishes. We reminded once our ordered and then they remembered us. The mugs of the coffee had dirt on them and the coffee was not tasty. We ordered scrambled eggs and avocado on toast. Very small portions for what they charge, not tasty. Wouldn't recommend it if you visit Vienna.

Salutations fellow tourists (and locals)

The other night I took my girlfriend for dinner here. Our first impression was that it was lovely. You can people watch on Graben street, sit under cozy heat lamps and enjoy the closeness to other people in this outdoor cafe.

This seemed pleasant enough until the waiter arrived. He first called me (in German) a beautiful lady. This is a bit odd. I am 18 and he looked about 50. Also, I am not a lady. Far from it. All my life I have been a man and although I do have long hair, I don’t think I look very feminine. He must have come to our table 15 times. Either to give us food, drink or cutlery and each time made remarks to “you ladies” or to me “madam”. What an oddball. I even spoke in a very deep voice at one point and yet he persisted. Simply strange?

As for the food: eh. It would have been good but the man calling me a lady kinda put off my appetite. This place is mostly a cafe but you can burgers or pasta too and it’s prepared in about five minutes. For dessert I ordered a sachertorte for my self since my girlfriend was not feeling hungry for dessert and the waiter brought out two forks for us “lovely ladies”

Honestly, would not go again but if you are a lady, you will find many many compliments from the old...

Very cool place in the center of Vienna near the street Maria Hilfestrasse ( in the central part). Cool atmosphere and very good offer for food and drinks. I tried a few cocktails and all were very good and from good quality ingredients. Waiters and staff are in my opinion a little busy but they managed to cover all the tasks.. In front of cafee are also a few tables for smokers or when it is a warm night from April to october.. Toilet is a little bit discutable , in my opinion suburban style.. Cocktail prices are around 10 eur.. beer maximum 5, red bull also 5 eur.. prosecco 2,6 eur for every 100ml, but it is not from the bottle.. people there are different ages mostly between 20 and 40 years.. in many there are a good variety of salads and sandwiches.. I tried both and they were very good. I did not try burgers but I saw it and they look very very good, one word brutal good. If you don’t want to eat there there are many small fast food kiosk around which can offer pizza, Chinese food, falafels etc.. U3 u bahn (on geman) metro station is nearby, around 100m and it is very easy to come and connect from different part of the city. There are also few bus stops like 13a nearby. generally my recommendation for this city urban caffe...
