I don't even know where to start. This was probably one of the worst dining experiences we've had so far. Starting withe the atmosphere: The restaurant felt more like a cantine and did not have the warm and welcoming feel I expected from this formerly so beloved brand. When we entered the restaurant it was almost empty. The service told us to just pick any place. In general the service people seemed unattentive and bored. We wanted to order the food at the same time as the drinks but had to call back the waitress multiple times as she just left after taking our drinks order. We ordered the Appetizers Plate and a additional dip. When the plate came it was missing most of the appetizers listed on the menu and the waitress told us that they did not have the dip that we ordered. Instead we got some cold and definetly NOT FRESH tasteless salads that could aswell just came straight out of a supermarket packet. The tomatoes and cucumbers were quite soggy and the Falafel was just warmed up and not freshly made. (My guess is, that they just put on the plate what was left from the lunch buffet). When we told the waitress that there were things missing (Labneh, Fattoush, Muhammara) she brought us two mini bowls with some of what should have been on our plate. The hummus was mediocre at best but in general the appetizer plate was just bland and not worth the money. When we finished another waiter came, just took our plates and did not say anything or ask how it was. But the absolute worst experience was the main dish. We ordered the "Hamshuka". It came with the same bland hummus, and what was advertised as root vegetables on the menu turned out to be cold raw shredded carrots out of a bag. The rice that came with the dish was bland and dry and had a funny aftertaste. The absolute worst thing about this dish was the meat (see attached photo). It tasted disgusting and bland at the same time and was just awfull to look at. This was the first time I sent back food at a restaurant because it was just too disgusting. We ate a few spoons full and decided to pay and leave. The waitress asked us if we didnt liked it and we told her that it was pretty bad. Instead of an excuse or offering us something she had the audacity to ask us if we didnt want to stay and order dessert? (No, she did not offer us free dessert but wanted us to spend more money in this establishment). We told the waitress we wanted to pay by card. She left and a few minutes later the other waiter came asking us again if and how we wanted to pay. Obviously there was little communication between the waiters even though there was not alot going on. Of course the dip that we didnt get was on the receipt and we had to request that they removed it. We payed full price for everything we ordered, which was way too much considering how bad our overall experience was. Whatever charme and popularity Habibi & Hawara used to have there is nothing left of it. No wonder they had to close down the other locations.

The food was good. The freshly made pancakes were super tasty and the guy making them - super friendly. On the not so bright side: the service so-so, the staff seemed so stressed, overwhelmed and not responsive, even though the place is not so big and the outside area was closed. I cannot say there was such a great variety for a 25-euro-brunch. One drink is included and if you take tea you get ridiculously small Turkish cup which is supposed to be constantly refilled, but when I asked for a refill I obviously got no and then found the second cup of tea on my bill, which I never ordered and also never got. I am so sorry to be pissed off about the tea (which was great and not just cheap packaged tea that you normally get everywhere), but this is definitely something that could be changed easily and not costing a fortune. The place is a bit overhyped and I don’t feel like returning

Incredible food and service. Was there for an event and was absolutely blown over by the place. Two of the employees told us the story of the concept and their own personal stories, it was so inspiring and uplifting. What an amazing concept. The food was put of this world, just delicious, something for everyone, carnivores, vegans, vegetarians. Absolutely wonderful. I will make a point of coming back next time I'm in Vienna.

I visited this Middle Eastern restaurant for lunch today and ordered the Vitamin-Bowl mit Huhn. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying. The so called tabouleh was possibly the worst I’ve had! Mostly unchopped parsley with barely any bulgur or tomatoes. It was unpleasant to eat, I felt like I was only eating parsley. The plate was also missing the listed paprika, had some lettuce, a few large tomato slices, and a couple of cucumber chunks thrown in, with no seasoning. The chicken shawarma was burnt in several places, which left a bitter, charred taste in every bite. The hummus was the only halfway decent item on the plate, thin and watery, but at least edible. The homemade lemonade tasted artificial and overly sweet, and the only drinkable thing we had was the bottled iced tea (not even house-made). The only redeeming part of the visit was the service, the waitress was genuinely kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the poor food. If you’re looking for authentic Middle Eastern food, this place is not it. If you’ve had the real thing before, you’ll be disappointed, and if you haven’t, this is not the...
