The Church — Restaurant in Vienna

Was looking for salvation and a drink whilst walking around Vienna and just happened upon this hidden gem.

In the future, I'll take a pilgrimage back to this religious site.

The drinks will leave you full of holy spirit (whether that's whiskey, gin or whatever your pick) and that priests behind the bar are full of wise words, smiles and great advice.

As with any good church the walls and ceiling here are covered in murals and art to lift a weary soul.

Owner got upset because I didn't stand up for his swansong at the end of the live gig..

He approached me afterwards to inquire why. Proceeded with some vapid conversation, mentioned he was from northern Ireland. I mentioned he didn't have an Irish accent. He said he didn't have an Irish accent as he was educated (previously told him I'm from Ireland). I asked does he think all Irish are uneducated. He backtracked and said he didn't say that...

Didn't order food just drinks but the atmosphere was welcoming and just the best vibes. If you like any kind of rock/metal music I highly recommend it. However there are also comedy/quiz/open mic nights, a pool table etc there is truly something for everyone. Owner is a really great chilled out guy, who stopped and had a chat with us. Bar staff spoke fantastic English which was a plus as my German is just terrible. Some of the regulars were really friendly chatting...
