Monte Ofelio — Restaurant in Vienna

It’s kinda difficult to review this place, cause it could mean that more people will come and finding a table will be difficult 🤔 But: the food is sooo amazing 🤩 They only use the best of raw materials, and the presentation is top notch. The ambiance is great and you feel transported from Wien to to somewhere in Italy while you are there. And the staff… : In competition with the incredible food, the amazing cocktails and the wonderful wine, the people operating this little miracle of a restaurant are the best ❤️ You feel so welcomed and appreciated there and their genuine love for what they are doing is obvious!

Café discovered completely by chance. A wonderful surprise, a space capsule, we are 100% in Italy (and Italian is spoken between waiters) and looking outside from the café, I expected to see the Mediterranean :) The waiters are super friendly, smiling, available and the atmosphere is very friendly. We ate hot sandwiches which were excellent with real fresh and quality products and above all with lots of flavors (which is sorely lacking in Central European cuisine...). I was very disappointed that a male staff member cheated the price. He showed me an amount close to 86 euros but then entered 100 euros into the payment machine without saying or showing anything - I should have checked at that point but never expected this staff would do such thing. I only noticed this later when I received a notification from my bank.

It is very unfortunate because until that moment, everything had been great, including the food and atmosphere.

I will never return and I want to warn others about this staff member’s...
