The Park Hyatt Vienna is not just a hotel; it's an exquisite journey into Viennese luxury and unparalleled comfort. From the moment you step into its grand, historic former bank building, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and impeccable service. Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary, and three particular features elevated the experience: the phenomenal buffet breakfast and the uniquely enchanting pool.
The buffet breakfast at The Bank Brasserie is not merely a meal; it's a culinary delight that sets the perfect tone for each day in Vienna. The selection is astounding, featuring an array of freshly baked pastries that are flaky and divine, wonderfully delicious breads, a generous variety of local spreads to accompany the baked goods and whatever you'd use them for dipping or topping to your desire, and an abundance of fresh fruits. There are several hot dishes, proteins, and salads to accompany the above. What stands out is the quality and attention to detail. The à-la-carte options included amazing truffle scrambled eggs and the hearty eggs benedict as well as many others. The fresh juices and champagne made each morning feel like a special occasion. The setting itself, within the magnificent former bank with its soaring ceilings and opulent decor, makes dining an art form. Hyatt Globalists and those staying as part of Guest of Honor awards will enjoy their benefits with the included breakfast.
And then, there's the pool at the Arany Spa – a unique and serene oasis. Tucked away in what was once the bank's original vault, this indoor pool offers an atmosphere unlike any other. The historic architecture, including the preserved original safe door, creates a sense of stepping back in time while enjoying modern luxury. It’s incredibly calming and provides a perfect escape after a day of exploring the city. The pool features an underwater audio system to provide a soothing sound to surround your swim. The entire spa area, with its relaxation zones, sauna, and steam room, exudes tranquility and thoughtful design. It's a testament to how the Park Hyatt Vienna seamlessly blends its rich history with contemporary indulgence.
A room upgrade to a suite was truly special! Spacious, elegantly designed, and boasting luxurious amenities like heated marble floors and deep soaking tubs, they offer an unparalleled level of comfort. The separate living areas and walk-in closets enhance the opulent experience, making every stay feel like a grand Viennese retreat.
Beyond these highlights, the service throughout our stay was consistently exceptional. Every staff member was attentive, warm, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring our comfort. The central location is ideal for exploring Vienna's iconic landmarks on foot.
Special thanks to the various team members who communicated during the pre-arrival messaging, including but not limited to Nina, Claudia, and Paulina as well as Chloé & Agathe (PH Paris Vendome).
In summary, the Park Hyatt Vienna offers an unforgettable luxury experience. The divine breakfast buffet, the one-of-a-kind pool, and impeccable rooms are just a few examples of the many ways this hotel exceeds expectations. I cannot recommend it highly enough and am already dreaming of...
Read moreWe had a stay in Vienna immediately after the full lockdown was lifted, but during the interim transition period when there were still some restrictions. For that reason Park Hyatt Vienna was not operating normally and hotel occupancy was low. Despite the unusual circumstances, we had a great stay – this Park Hyatt is one of the better ones where we have stayed elsewhere in the world.
Upon arrival we were delighted to find out that we were upgraded to the Ambassador Suite as Globalist guests. What a great gesture – I guess due to very low occupancy they simply used their judgment that it would not hurt to do a little extra for loyal guests.
In terms of hardware quality, this Park Hyatt is hard to beat. Some hotels have a number of luxury features but leave other parts being much cheaper, but this suite was uniformly high quality. The bathroom was very spacious including the shower area which was oversized, there was marble throughout including the wall next to the bathtub, chandeliers in several rooms, nice hardwood floors in the bedroom and living room, upscale furniture including a leather-covered working desk and decent chair. As in most premium suites there was also a half bathroom near the entrance of the room which was convenient. The entrance lobby was quite impressive as well with the glass design on the floor which fit with the marble-top small table in front, not to mention that the floor was heated in that entrance lobby.
All in all it is hard to find faults to this room, if there would be one it would be general darkness. First off in December it’s not very sunny in Vienna but the problem was made worse by the fact that windows were all part of a bay, away from the inner wall of the room so it blocked the limited sunlight coming in and made it necessary to keep the lights turned on during the day. The upside is that because of the design of the windows, people outdoors could not see us in our room. As the hotel was directly in front of one of the numerous Christmas markets in the city, we had a view of the festivities if we moved into the bays to take a look.
The regular restaurant was closed and we were informed that we could have breakfast in an alternative venue instead, or simply room service. Because room service was so convenient, we did not even bother checking out their temporary location for breakfast – we ordered room service every day. We were able to order whatever we liked from the menu and all charges were waived as the Globalist breakfast benefit. On the day before departure I ordered in advance and I requested delivery at exactly 7am which they did on the dot. The quality of the food was excellent, particularly the truffle eggs which were delicious. One area of improvement would be for a longish stay I thought perhaps a bit more variety would have helped because many warm dishes were egg-related.
Overall we had a comfortable stay and while we could not use the full set of facilities of the hotel due to covid, in the limited interactions we had with staff the service was excellent including help scheduling covid tests. I can highly recommend this hotel especially for...

Our recent stay at Park Hyatt Vienna exceeded all expectations, setting a new standard for luxury and comfort. From the moment we entered the lobby, we were greeted warmly by the attentive staff, who made us feel welcome and valued throughout our entire visit.
The two standard rooms we booked got upgraded to adjoining suites, a Deluxe Twin Room for our teenage kids and a Park Suite King for my husband and me. The guest relations manager, Alexander Olujic and his colleague, gave us a tour of our suites that overlooked historic buildings and luxury shops. They both prepared 19 long-stemmed roses with red petals scattered on our bed and tub, a bottle of champagne, chocolates and a greeting card for our 19th anniversary celebration. For our kids, they offered a local Sacher-Torte chocolate cake as a welcome gift. The suites were the best of all, blending classic Viennese charm with modern amenities. The plush bedding and carefully curated furnishings created a cozy yet sophisticated retreat, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city.
In addition to that, Martin Wenig, Steffano Flaccadori and Rudolf Andre Joebstl of the concierge team also helped us snag seats at the nearby, highly sought, Cafe Central.
Dining at the Park Hyatt Vienna was a culinary delight. As a Hyatt globalist, our breakfast menu offered a delightful array of dishes that showcased both local Austrian flavors and international cuisine. Each meal was expertly prepared and served with attention to detail, making dining a highlight of our stay. We can't get enough of their Truffled Scrambled Eggs, The Bank Chives Toast, Avocado Toast, Eggs Benedict, Vegan Chocolate Banana bread and the Ginger shot, among others.
The hotel's spa and wellness facilities were equally impressive. What used to be a bank vault made way to a relaxing indoor swimming pool with sauna and steam rooms. It was indeed an experience in itself.
Overall, our stay at the Park Hyatt Vienna was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, outstanding dining options, and attentive service created a memorable stay that exceeded all expectations. Whether you're visiting Vienna for business or pleasure, I highly recommend indulging in the unparalleled hospitality of the Park Hyatt Vienna. We will...
