Very nice interior and good coffee. Everything else is horrible.
If you read other reviews you could notice that people complain about food, I can also confirm. Eggs were not cooked the way they should be (even for the eggs royale), so almost raw. The food has no taste. For the granola bowl, it is opposite. All 4 ingredients are super sweet, in order to make the taste balanced, at least the yogurt should be neutral, not sweet. But ok, such a sweet dish could be according to someone’s taste, but eggs that are not cooked properly should not be done like this.
I was asked for the review via the their booking system stating the same as I mentioned above. In return I got the answer that the eggs that they cook it’s the appropriate way, which made me feel like I’m stupid and Sil is just pointing that out to me saying that they are right and super raw eggs is there own style and I just don’t understand it.
We were together with my friend at the place and didn’t want to complain there directly and the first review I submitted was anonymous, cause I’m Ukrainian and wanted to support the place, where it’s so nice to feel the atmosphere of home town. But Ukrainians know what good service and food are and those eggs were not good.
The the Sil’s policy to say to customers that they are stupid and don’t understand the concepts of their eggs is at least rude.
It’s really said that they have chosen this way. Do not...
Read moreThis place has a lovely interior and an amazing location, right in the heart of Vienna. The staff is friendly, although service can be quite slow, especially during busy periods – overall I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends.
The menu is pretty exciting, with a lot of different dishes to choose from. There's definitely something for everyone. Each dish is beautifully presented, and the food looks delicious.
As for the food itself, it was pretty good. Some things we ordered were better than others – I wasn't a big fan of the syrnyky; the pancakes had an unpleasant taste, probably because of the curd. But the sil-shuka was really nice, a perfect blend of shakshuka and cilbir, and seasoned just right. Although it seemed a bit odd to pay an extra €3 for a side of bread especially when it's a dish you would probably eat bread with anyway. Lastly, the american dream pancakes were absolutely delicious. Their coffee is also quite enjoyable, with a solid doppio and a tasty salted caramel latte.
Although the portions might be on the smaller side for the price, it's worth mentioning that the food quality stands out, as each dish seems to be prepared with care and attention to detail. While it's not my top pick for brunch spots in Vienna, it's definitely...
Read moreI would like to point out the poor service. Firstly, the phone number is not marked anywhere (neither on maps, nor on the website, nor on Instagram), it is impossible to call and find out about the reservation. Secondly, the hostess(manager) is not friendly and greets guests with a sad face. It is not clear why, the hostess is just waiting for a table during the reservation, although we were waiting with the cafe, and the number of empty tables only increased, and no one was going to sit us at a table, as a result, we waited an hour, during the wait we could have eaten breakfast several times (the number of free tables only increased during the wait). If a client is waiting for his reservation for a table for two people, what is the point of making the client wait for the time of his reservation, if he is already standing in the cafe and waiting, and the number of tables for two people allows you to sit right now! Thirdly, the takeaway coffee, which we also had to wait, was cold. I apologize for starting my review with negative information, but greeting and customer focus are the main things to start working with a client with, a similar situation happened more than once, so 1 star. I would really like to note - a pleasant...
