Cross the street for The Albertina or walk 10 minutes to the Leopold. This museum is scattered and disjointed and is an assortment of paintings rather than an exhibit. It's all over the place. There's no logic, paintings are hung too high or in cramped stairwells. The noise from floors 2 andc3 reverberstes everywhere. The security guards make you feel like a criminal. Others report this and clearly they don't care. I was chastised for looking over a rail and saw numerous guards doing the same. The exhibit is not Klimpt to Warhol. It's one Klimpt. They take an entire room to explain and "apologize " for past deeds but when you look on their website they hide who bought the building and where funding comes from begging our understanding. The entire place feels like an Instagram moment with cartoonish furniture on the walls and flashy disco balls. And, at the very end, there it is - their plea to post your selfie. When art museums become nitjing more than a backdrop for social media it is a sad day. This is not worth 16 eu. And the museum is not srlf funded. With Horton's billions we are all...

EXPERIMENT EXPRESSIONISMUS

Eintritt, Garderobe, Sitzgelegenheiten, Räumlichkeiten, Treppen, Aufzüge und last not least die Toiletten . .

The engagement of young people at this place deserves a credit, but for what does this expensive collection really stands for!?! Heidi Jelinek, embodied the immoral enrichment through Austrias old-fashioned "Heiratspolitik". Her wealth generated from being a widowed wife of thirty years older Nazi Horten, and the divorcee of the individual Charmat. The collection of Superstar Artists is more of an Ego-trip than taste. Acquiring a Chagall painting with Nazi money is just bizarre. In fact this so-called collection is and expression of the counter-movement of Peggy Guggenheim's "art rescue" initiative, and is a disgrace for the all great artists put here together, to honor a person that doesn't deserve...

Great collection. A mix of paintings from different epochs, as well as a more modern exhibition.
