I’m a huge food fanatic and a Korean food lover. My interest and inspiration from the Korean kitchen starts from the Choseon era from history to all the Korean food I have eaten in California, Texas, London, and Vienna. If you know Korean BBQ! You cannot call this place a Korean BBQ. NO SAMGYEOPSAL???? Try don’t even have the Korean pork belly to bbq. The least thing which they could’ve done was to leave a bulgogi, at least!
So after getting punched in the face by disappointment, I decided to order Sundubu Jjigae!
Sadly even worse! Everyone knows, when you cook seafood especially in a One pot dish, you are supposed to remove the excess that comes out of cooking seafood food. But of course they decided to leave all the excess waste inside, overcooking the shrimp to a point where it felt like chewing on Lego!
€10 euros for a portion of Japchae with no mushrooms or even spinach? Not even seasoning? It’s grass noodle, and a household in Korean cuisine!!!
The kimchi and the banchan were the biggest flop of all time. It felt like they cut the up some Napa cabbage and dumped it in a 10ml remaining kimchi juice from last season!
Once I reminded the older lady with glasses that I would like to pay but not for the Jjigae, she asked me if it was too spicy? Treating me like a a person who has no idea of what the food is about and told me that next time I should make better choices!!! I understand I went to a restaurant with my own choice and ordered the food so of course I have to pay for it but where is the quality? Flavor? THE EXPERIENCE?
More than being angry I was super disappointed because this was the only Korean restaurant that I didn’t try in Vienna. And now I know why.
I was so disappointed that I was actually hurt.
Food is meant to celebrate and engage. To come together and experiment the great taste that it requires.
It seems that Yori has lost its touch too its roots or the management has decided to give up on staff and people who are cooking or serving in the restaurant.
If you want a proper BBQ experience in Vienna, then please save your money and try SANG SANG OR SURA to get a proper Korean BBQ experience with proper banchan and Jjigae and Japchae.
I wish you guys all the best. End of the story not all the people are supposed to like everything. But providing the signature KOREAN dishes as a KOREAN restaurant, not a KOREAN BBQ RESTAURANT is the bare minimum.
Yori and team, all the best to you. People can only survive or enjoy what you do until they actually realize how you do it. Looks can only get you how...

First time to visit Yori. Twice a day, for lunch and dinner. Both waiting times were incredibly long, mostly at lunch time. Had to wait more than 40 min for the entrée and the main course didn't come until I asked about it 30 min after the entrée finished. The waitress reaction was so surprise to hear, that I haven't got my main dish. She said, she would go and check it on the kitchen. My main dish had been forgotten!!!Not for long, she came and brought my SpicyGangnam Salmon..instead of gochujang sauce it came with another bowl of RICE!!! I then asked about the sauce, and she said, she had mistaken sauce with rice, and come back once again with sauce. I was not the only unfortunate customer. The table behind me, he had to enjoyed his dessert before he even got his main course!! They did apologize for what happened, and compliiment me with the dessert I've ordered. I decided to give them second chance and came back for dinner. The waiting time was the same as lunch. It took 37 min (I used stop watch!) for food to come after I placed the order and 10 min addition to wait untill somebody came and took my order. This time, they didn't want the same thing happen like at lunch, so they decided to bring entrée and main dish at the same time ! The foods is fresh. The taste is average. The price is a bit higher. Service is polite yet very poor.
So,my suggestion is never visit this restaurant if you are hungry and you don't have...
Read moreI normally don’t care to write a review at any restaurant, but there really is something special that is happening here. Special enough for me to take the time at the end of the meal to express my thoughts and experiences.
You’ll read other reviews and they’ll comment about the price of the place for the portion you receive. Put that aside for now and realize this restaurant is in a European country. This place has a culinary superiority compared to its competition and though pricey, you are receiving far more than what you are paying for.
I’m from Los Angeles, California - there’s a lot of Korean food and a large Korean immigrant population. The only thing this restaurant doesn’t have over many authentic places in LA is the quality of beef. American beef almost always wins in quality and price. This is why the menu is particularly expensive here, the price of beef is pricey. Where this place makes up for price is culinary excellence. I mean absolute culinary discipline that trumps many places in LA koreatown.
I recommend to not come extremely hungry. This isn’t an all you can eat kbbq - this is Korean culture at its finest in Vienna. When you recognize that, you’ll understand what a fine...
