This, hands down, is the most indian restaurant I have ever been in. There's pictures of famous historical people everywhere. Everything glicens in sliver and metall and a very subtile indian elevator track is playing in the background. Howevs, this impression makes you feel like shaj rukhkhan himself is gonna serve your food while amittab bachan cooks it, hehe. After you feel even kinda' unconfortably touched, as you feel like in kind of an "stuff india in their faces" situation, you still hang on and await one of the various un-spellable dishes they offer. And sweet baby jesus, then the awe kicks in. The food is simply fantastic. It's like so tasty that you forgive even the stereotypical bollywood movie you feel like starring in as a backrole actor who pretends to have a meaningful conversation while some piece of "its your child, i have a weak heart, family is thicker than blood"- drama takes place as the main act. In Vienna, they are the best and the oldest ones! 37 years old restaurant which was actually recommended by amour taxi driver! And definitely very authentic Indian restaurant where spices and herbs are not compromised and the chillies can be adjusted according to your taste! The service is super smooth and very nice! Very warm and welcoming people! We ordered maharani dal, malai kofta, butter chicken, aloo naan, rice and everything was perfect. Vorsicht bei der Reservierung – fragwürdige Praktiken und unprofessioneller Service!

Ich möchte meine Erfahrung in diesem Lokal teilen, da ich mich getäuscht und schlecht behandelt gefühlt habe.

Wir haben einen Tisch per mail reserviert, aber später festgestellt, dass man über TheFork-Platform für das exakt gleiche Essen bis zu 30 % Rabatt bekommt. Davon wurde uns vorab nichts gesagt. Als die Rechnung kam (besser gesagt, nur ein Tischbeleg, da der Kellner nicht wusste, ob wir bar oder mit Karte zahlen), hieß es plötzlich, dass -nur Barzahlung möglich sei – obwohl überall im Lokal Kartenakzeptanz ausgeschildert war, weil er irrtümlich dachte, ass für über -the fork- kamen.

Auf meine höfliche Nachfrage nach dem Grund hieß es, dass dies wegen des angeblichen TheFork Rabatts so sei – allerdings hatten wir gar nicht über TheFork reserviert! Nach meinem Hinweis darauf brachte der Kellner eine neue, um die Differenz erhöhte Rechnung. Ich fühlte mich veräppelt.

Als ich dann um eine offizielle Rechnung mit Mehrwertsteuer (MwSt.) bat, wurde der Kellner plötzlich laut, aggressiv und unfreundlich. Ich möge ihn, keinen Dieb nennen, ( das Wort kam nie aus meinem Mund), anstatt einfach ruhig zu erklären, warum das so kompliziert sei, wurde ich regelrecht angefaucht. Schließlich wurde mir Tatsächlich Hausverbot erteilt (!), hahahah, nur weil ich auf eine ordnungsgemäße Rechnung bestanden habe.

Fazit: Achtet darauf, über TheFork zu reservieren, wenn ihr dort essen wollt – sonst bezahlt ihr für dasselbe Essen deutlich mehr. Das Verhalten des Kellners war unprofessionell und unfreundlich, fast lächerlich. Barzahlungspflicht trotz Kartenzahlungsangabe? Sehr fragwürdig Unverständliche Weigerung, eine ordentliche Rechnung auszustellen, das war für mich am unerkärlichsten, warum es so schwierig war mir einfach eine MwSt Rg auszuhändigen.

Alles in allem eine echt unangenehme und unseriöse Erfahrung. aus diesem Grund kann ich kann dieses Lokal leider nicht weiterempfehlen, obwohl das Essen in Ordung war. Und die andere junge Kellnerin stests sehr freundlich war, selbst beim Gehen, ...nach diesem Theater.! Sehr kindisch. Eine einfach Erklärung hätte...
