Beware: Alcohol Mix-Up Could Put Kids at Risk!
Date of Visit: May 19, 2025 I had a very disappointing experience at Pisces. I ordered a non-alcoholic Paradise Island pineapple drink and made it explicitly clear that I wanted it non-alcoholic. We are teetotalers, so this was especially important to us. Unfortunately, the staff member (lady) at the counter miscommunicated my request to the bartender, and I was served an alcoholic version. I realized it immediately after taking a sip.
What made the situation worse was the response from the lady at the counter. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, she was dismissive and rude. She even falsely claimed that my husband had placed the order and didn’t specify non-alcoholic — which is untrue, as I was the only one ordering and it was just one drink. This kind of deflection and dishonesty is unacceptable.
To their credit, the bartender did replace the drink promptly once the issue was raised. However, the counter staff’s behavior left a very negative impression.
There was a family ahead of us who had ordered the same drink for their kids, also non-alcoholic. This incident made me wonder if their order had been correctly fulfilled — a serious concern when alcohol is mistakenly served to children.
As teetotalers, this kind of mistake is not just inconvenient — it’s offensive and unacceptable. The poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior were deeply disappointing. I hope the management addresses this issue seriously to avoid such blunders...
Read morePisces Fish and Chips serves great fried foods and hot dogs right next to the beach. We found ourselves dining here more often than not to grab a satisfying lunch after a nice dip in the beach.
We ordered the fried snapper, fried chicken, pretzel, and dog. The fried snapper absolutely hits the spot after spending a day in the sun. The fish was fried to perfection and served with fries, fried plantains, slices of raw red onion, a slice of lime, and side of curry mayo. The raw onions and lime cut through the fatty fried fish while the fried plantains give a sweet bite to round off the meal. I found myself coming back multiple times because the fried fish was just that good. The fried chicken was also fried well and paired with fries, onions, and plantains. The hot dog was standard and came with a bag of chips and soft drink. The pretzel was just alright and honestly not worth it.
Overall, I'd happily recommend getting food at Pisces while you're spending time on the beach. The fried foods hit the spot and were extremely satiating after spending hours in the...
Read moreLet's be honest: you got lost walking between the pools & waterslides, were hungry, and ordered here so you could eat something before treking back to your room. 😆
The coconut shirmp was tasty and the drinks were CRIMINALLY overpriced (a small cocktail in not-fully-hollowed-out pineapple will run you $30) even for a resort. The cashier was rude, but happy to enjoy the automatic gratuity added to the bill at the register. All and all, this was a one-and-done stop at the resort during our 7 day stay.
Be advised: everywhere on Paradise Island adds an automatic 15% gratuity and 10% "value added tax" to your bill, regardless of the level of service provided. Expect service to be subpar but the...
