Food is great! But the service is the worst I've ever seen, kills the whole experience In the Bahamas for a 1-week liveaboard boat cruise. I went to the green parrot twice. First on the way onto to boat for lunch and a beer while I waited to board. Sat at the bar and was served by a male bartender. Super attentive. I asked for a light beer, he recommended, surprise! that's the beer I ended up drinking the entire week. Food ( I had the naked burger with bacon and cheese) was fantastic! Great experience!
On the return, we went to the Green parrot to pick up food for dinner to eat on the boat as a group. That night, the service was a complete disaster! The waitress could not have cared less, we had to run after her to order. 20 minutes later the kitchen is dropping off bags of food on the table, we have no clue what belongs to who. Then we try to pay... oh boy! We had to go to the bar to try and pay them, not the other way around. I was the last to be able to pay after someone asked the manager to help me just pay already! A full 35 minutes after the food was dropped on the table!! At this point who cares about the food, it's stone-cold by now!
Finally I was able to pay and leave with my cold burger, only to be yelled at by the guy in charge of the door between the restaurant and the dock. There is a locked gate there, he is apparently charged with letting people in or out. He let me out, but when I turned around to pull it shut behind me, he yelled at me because some Yacht drunkies were coming behind and I should have left it open for them? Am I the doorman or are you? He actually followed me down the dock to continue yelling at me about why did I close the door? He doesn't understand why I closed the door?... meanwhile who's watching the door if you're following me to continue yelling at me?
Basically the food is fantastic, but the service and island welcome are dreadful. At the end, avoid at all costs!!! Seriously an awful end to my trip to...

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Our server, Kristy, was exceptional in her hospitality, making our visit all the more enjoyable.
To kick off our meal, we opted for the calamari as an appetizer, and it did not disappoint. The calamari was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The accompanying dipping sauce added a zesty kick that complemented the dish beautifully.
For our main course, we decided to try the seafood sampler, and it was a feast for the senses. The variety of seafood options included in the sampler was impressive, and each item was cooked flawlessly. From shrimp to cracked conch, every bite was bursting with flavor. The portion size was generous, ensuring that we left the restaurant completely satisfied.
Beyond the delicious food, the ambiance of Green Parrot was vibrant and inviting. The staff created a welcoming atmosphere, and the restaurant's coastal decor added a charming touch to the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Green Parrot exceeded our expectations in terms of both food quality and service. If you simply appreciate a well-rounded dining experience, this place is a fantastic choice.
